PAx and Issues with Excel Status Bar

We've had a few reports from customers that the status bar in Excel stops working, the piece where you can highlight a cell range and get the sum / count /average and so forth in the bottom right hand corner.

I'm sure I saw another posting on here that mentioned it in passing but can't find it now....

So what I'd like to know is anyone else seeing this and do they have a reproducible test case and is there a known method to get it working again (other than restart Excel)?

Have raised with IBM but with not being able to reproduce on demand it is hard to get traction.
