Re: TM1 Server crash on saving dimension (status Suspended)

Hi PavoGa,

What's your version number please? Did you get this acknowledged by IBM?

Cheers,

Re: TM1 Server crash on saving dimension (status Suspended)

Hi Ken, We have seen this a few times as well. The only repeatable instance we have had is when two people were in the perspectives dimension editor at the same time and had both performed edits (obviously not best practice but it does happen). We have raised this with IBM. (TS001876885) We have ins...

Re: MDX expression for NextMember in case of variable source member

Interesting work Wim but... To the OP you should take care building critical functionality that depends on the ordering of the dimension as it is very hard to have direct control over it. This would be much simpler if you just had an attribute that held the next week. Sorry Wim, just realised the yo...

Re: Write a calculated value to all elements in a dimension

Fundamentally yes if using TI, you may want to look at spreading. Not much to go on here Manu but you should look at your design / requirements IMO. Writing the same value "to all values in the time dimension" would seem to be an odd thing to need to do, can't this be an attribute of the element in ...

Re: Planning Analytics Administration agent

Pretty sure that Planning Analytics Administration (PAA) is the new "ops console" part of PAW where you can monitor the behaviour of your hardware and TM1 databases.

Re: Active forms

Action buttons can sometimes been a little temperamental, best bet is jut to set it up again (via right click, properties).

For example they can't cope with changes to sheet names if you have referenced cells on the worksheet.

Re: MDX for getting Parent and Children

I think I vaguely remember a tech note from an age ago to the effect that DRILLDOWNMEMBER should not be used and the TM1 specific variant should be or perhaps it was the "solution" to a defect that was raised...

Re: PAW: cannot enter into a consolidation

Can you remember the creation sequence that led to this? In theory every N level should end up in the leaves hierarchy, if this is not reliable then this is a bit of an issue..

Re: PAW: cannot enter into a consolidation

What happens if you use the right click spreading options do you get any kind of error message? These should be the same bits of functionality accessed I different ways.

Re: PAW TI Editor

It may be "muscle memory," but Notepad++ seems to be much faster and offers some features I like over the PAW editors. If you take the time to say what these features are you never know who might be watching and find that these features make it into the product (eventually). I have found the produc...

Re: Data Loss Due To MTFeeders

The link has no date or version reference so its hard to be sure if this tech note is still current?

There was an old defect in this space which has already been fixed, are we sure this is new / regression?

Re: Missing object access after copy from Prod to Dev

Sounds to me like the cfg is pointing to an empty folder so it has created the initial starting objects.

Best guess is that your network engineer has not correctly copied the files to the correct location.

Re: PAx not fully recalculating

If you are talking about DBRWs / custom report then you need to check the force recalc on f9 option in the PAx options to get f9 working. If you don't (I think) normal excel calcs take over and only cells that have a dependency that has changed will be refreshed.

Re: CELL PROPERTIES in TM1 MDX

Hi Sachin,
Please do try and post in the correct forum.

AFAIK these functions are not supported in MDX with TM1.
I'm curious as to where you are trying to do this as in native TM1 there isn't really anywhere you can return a number and care about the format it is in.

Re: DEL Command is not working in TM1 Process

Also vCommand = 'cmd /c DEL '|'"' | vFilePath| '"'; ExecuteCommand(vCommand, 0); would work with no need for text files. Take care with using the ExecuteCommand function with the 1 parameter set, very occasionally DOS will hang and then your TI will get stuck. Unless you have a good reason use the 0...

Re: MTQQuery

Thanks mvaspal, I'd not found this tech note when searching. Having to have Skip Consolidated Values unchecked seems to be a pretty odd requirement but I'll test when I get a chance. I would habitually use a L0 subset rather than "All" + "Skip Consolidated Values" in my view definitions. Now wonderi...

MTQQuery

Hi, Can anyone confirm that MTQQuery actual works in current releases, I'm using 11.1.1.36. According to documentation it should be on by default. but I couldn't see anything in TOP to indicate it working (I can with MTQ, with work units spinning up). Added explicit parameters MTQ=-1 MTQQuery=T No r...
