Re: Server hangs on ODBC-import

In the windows event viewer I only see errors like The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( tm1sd ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag ...

Re: How to solve a month problem ?

You better understand my problem now or not ? I'm sorry beber005, but the more information you supply, the more I'm at loss at what you're trying to do... If I look at the output I see some codes with a seemingly random amount of semicolons, a wildcard symbol (*) onthe 2nd row, etc. What's the expo...

Re: Server hangs on ODBC-import

I guess that would not work because I do not connect with Oracle but with Teradata. Nevertheless I've tried the following three options separately to no avail ... UseSQLFetch=T UseSQLFetchScroll=T UseSQLExtendedFetch=T These options are not exclusively meant for Oracle, so they were worth a try. In...

Re: Server hangs on ODBC-import

These are difficult things to troubleshoot if there is no data available in terms of logfiles. Maybe this thread offers some help - see the info of the posts by Moby91 in there. Could there be some kind of change in the network environment, which is now blocking or redirecting TI when trying to acce...

Re: Server hangs on ODBC-import

Hi Hans,

Are there any related messages in the TM1 Message log?
Can you make an ODBC connection using another client (non-TI), based on the same connection settings?
If you can, how long does it take before the database returns some records? Could there be a time out issue?

Re: How to solve a month problem ?

Assuming you want to process a cube view and you want to include all months up to the specified month in pMonth. Assuming you have a specific month dimension and assuming you have set up a previous month attribute on that month dimension that holds the previous month name for each month. Than the id...

Jedox Suite 5.1 Released

This week Jedox have released the 5.1 version of their BI and PM suite. New features include: Data driven modeling – a wizard driven approach to cube building similar to the Cognos Insight feature. Extended planning features – like cell locking (similar to cell holds in TM1), a splashing wizard (unt...

Re: How to solve a month problem ?

To be able to do this you first need to have a notion of what a 'previous month' is. A common setup is to use a previous month attribute or a time lookup cube, but you could also use a script calculated previous month or (not recommended) rely on the dimension index. Once you have that notion, the c...

Re: Alias not unique (TI)

If I filter with 2014003, The left window of the subset editor, shows the Element eleven times( its member of in the year hierarchy( 1x) , and member of the Cumulation hierarchies March to December 2014, the Alias-element 201403 was not found ), so the eleven found Elements seems to be correct. But...

Re: Alias not unique (TI)

Dirk, TM1 treats zeros and spaces as nulls so in your case TM1 thinks both of them are the same value. You'll need to make them different by ading an under score or something like that, Jim. Hi Jim, I'm not sure whether I'm misinterpreting your remark, but TM1 is certainly not treating zeroes as nu...

Re: TM1 Private Subset in View

Hi CJ, I think the icons are a bit misleading here. The three All subsets shown are not so much private subsets, but in fact implicit unnamed subsets (instead of explicit named subsets) which only exist in the context of that view. It would not be possible to save a public view using named private s...

It works OK for a small proof of concept but I've seen it crash the server (people logging in whilst ODBD process runs) too many times to trust...

Re: Getting error while loading string measure element

You are trying to load string to a numeric cell, hence the error. More specifically the issue is that you have the data variable in your variables tab set up as numeric, while the value you're receiving is string (in some cases). If the value can be either string or numeric it's better to setup the...

Use triple quotes Query = Expand('Insert INTO Table1(SNO,ENAME,State) VALUES(%vSN% | ',' '''|vEN |''' ',' '''| vSt |''' ')'); oops.... not working. Please note (without looking more in-depth at your code) that you're putting a lot of quotes after each other: %vSN% | ' ,' ''' |vEN | ''' ',' ''' | vS...

Re: Named Levels not showing up!!

1. did you run RefreshMdxHierarchy('') or RefreshMdxHierarchy('dimname')? You have to run the command per affected dimension. In theory, either syntax should work fine with the first one refreshing all dimensions. You learn something every day... I missed the 'optional' part in the function documen...
