Re: FeedStrings - Cannot feed cell ref with string

To get it to work i had to restart the server. >Can you explain why this needs to happen? if you have a technical explanation then great. >Should I reboo the server after each rule change? This is extremely annoying. I keep doubting what I am doing when all appears rights, then a reboot of the serv...

Re: cubeware importer

Why no TI? Importer is a very nice graphical interface and a mature tool but TI is about an order of magnitude faster and sometimes a couple of lines of script is more efficient than lots of Imp mappings. Although Importer lacks the raw speed of TI, I found from experience that it is easier to get ...

Re: FeedStrings - Cannot feed cell ref with string

Hi,

Try inserting the FEEDSTRINGS statement as the first line in your rulessheet (so above SKIPCHECK).

From the manual:
To enable feeding of string cells, insert the FEEDSTRINGS declaration as the first line of your rule:
FEEDSTRINGS;

Re: Fix Pack 1 + TM1 Web (9.4MR1) error, HELP!

Hi Andy, I didn't have time to dive into this until now. Maybe a running IIS could have been the problem (or at least one of the problems). Installing TM1Web has proven to be quite a struggle sofar. I uninstalled/reinstalled 9.4 completely for four times, changing some settings in between. Although ...

If you're looking for quality statistical analysis and you're not willing to spend a lot of cash you should have a look at the R-Project. Another alternative is PSPP.

Re: Fix Pack 1 + TM1 Web (9.4MR1) error, HELP!

Hi, The TM1Web.1 folder contains a backup copy of your previous TM1Web install. This backup is created by the TM1Web installation procedure. The TM1Web and TM1Web.ex folders are part of the TM19.4 installation. I can't really help you with your issues, but recently I also installed TM1 9.4MR1, follo...

Re: TM1 Dimension Attribute 256 character limit work around

Hi After re-reading your initial posting and your second post I understand that the individual attribute string parts can be longer than 256 characters, mainly because of the IN construct when selecting on consolidated TM1 elements. The way I usually solve drill-through from consolidated elements (w...

Re: TM1 Dimension Attribute 256 character limit work around

Hi, You can write the query (with the '?parameter?' variables) you need on the datasource tab of the drill-through query. This field is not limited to 256 characters. The ATTRS lookups can be performed on the Prolog and will be carried out before the actual query is send to the database for processi...

Hi David, Did you download the 3.0 Client/Server package? Did you uninstall PALO 2.5 before installing 3.0? Please note that when you install the client/server package on a machine with 2 Excel versions it will automatically install the add-in to the latest Excel version (XL 2007 in your case). If y...

Re: replacing dimension with dimension worksheet

Hi telula, The 'All' button lists all unique elements that are defined in the dimension. If an element (either base level or consolidated level) appears multiple times in the dimension (in different hierarchies), only the first occurrence of the element will be listed. If you want to open up all hie...

Re: TM1 & Linux

We actually have a copy of TM1 that runs on Linux in our office (in the museum corner). I think it's a version 6 (nicely boxed and all) which dates back to previous century (1999).

Re: Dimension Worksheets - Auto Update

Hi,

TM1 will prompt for this when you're using Perspectives and you have your local database directory pointing to a directory where a .xdi file with the name of the updated dimension is located.

Hi, Just a guess... Are you running TM1 on a 64-bit Windows machine and are you connecting through the 32-bit ODBC driver using the gateway service? If so, the (32-bit) gateway service executable is probably installed in the Program Files (x86) directory. The Oracle ODBC driver has a problem with th...

Re: TM1 Drill Through to relational table

Thing that i haven't tried is whether we can build a dynamic subset in the }clients dimension which display only element which is equal to TM1User(), otherwise we need to create a security group for each user, which is not effective i guess considering that hundreds of users exist. Hi Andre, You ca...

Re: 9.4 MR1 - memory leakage issue?

A suprising result. It does appear that the MaximumCubeLoadThreads significantly affects the Ram consumption. Nice one Scott. On the server that had MaximumCubeLoadThreads=1, loads at 45 mins taking 5GB. Original server with MaximumCubeLoadThreads=7, loads at 25 mins taking 10GB. Tested on same har...

Re: 9.4 MR1 - memory leakage issue?

Hi Mike, I agree I was a bit short-cornered here  . The amount in which the memory usage increase from (f.i.) 9.0 to 9.4 depends on the model - the amount of text cells (attributes, security) and the size of dimensions (nr. of elements). I haven't done any testing on 9.4 yet - I'm working most...

Re: 9.4 MR1 - memory leakage issue?

Our TM1 application here (64bit) under TM1 9.0Sp3 loaded at 5GB. With TM1 9.4MR1 this has more than doubled to 10.7GB. I can only thank the heavens that we decided to buy 32GB of RAM instead of 16GB when we purchased the hardware. Hi Ken, I would think the fact that memory usage has doubled coming ...

In drill through process, in the prolog I will read that cube and crea...
