Re: Is it strange or am I missing something?

I have to say that the values look odd for a measure called Margin%. Aside from that, you're not giving much information here. You've cleared so much in the screenshots that they're not giving much more information than no screenshots. Are there any rules applied against the 2014 Plan? If so, are th...

Re: Prevent users from inputting data into consolidated cell

Alan, I didn't read all of your post. I caught the bit about "Less restrictive". Unless something has changed in the last couple of years that I wasn't aware of, read always takes presedence (I can't spell I know) over write. So if you are in 2 groups, one with read and one with write, you get read...

Re: IF I AM NOT attrs

Hello I am again on a 3 way road :) I am writing a rule that says ' If i am not matching the string(in this attrs) in DM1 dimension , make me elements in (DIM1, DIM2, DIM3, DIM4) ALL Grey? How would I solve that? Its a simple question but the methods I have tried just dont work yet they work for ot...

Re: Pass Data At Consolidation cube to another cube

If there is no rule defined on the source cube I would be very surprised to find that accumulating the leaf values in the TI is faster, very surprised. Well, Surprise! then :) The source cube in the example I was talking about didn't have a rules sheet. What I found in this and other examples is th...

Re: Pass Data At Consolidation cube to another cube

Nothing wrong with the advice which you have been given but if you have a significant volume of data to process or then accumulating from leaf cells could be quite a bit faster. I second lotsaram's remark here. I've seen examples where just processing leaf levels was significantly faster than proce...

Re: Feeding a ConsolidatedMax rule

Consider a measure where N-cells are being rule-calculated. Also assume that @ C-level I have one of the following functions: ConsolidatedMax, ConsolidatedMin, ConsolidatedAvg, ConsolidatedCount. To get the ConsolidatedAvg or ConsolidatedCount functions to calculate correctly, ALL the N-level cells...

Re: SubsetCreateByMDX in TI

SubsetCreateByMDX is a function that typically should not be used on either the MetaData or Data tab, which are executed per record/cell in the datasource. So I would move the statement to either the Prolog or Epilog (if dependent on metadata changes) tab. Michel (Of course, if you really need to cr...

Re: TI process rounding off

So I'm trying to import data into a Currency Exchange Cube, and everything seems to be running smoothly. BUT there is one slight error during the input (I believe) that is causing a discrepancy. So my data for the exchange rates is up to 5 decimal places, and my measure dimension has its format set...

I recently recertified on C2020-702 to keep my IBM friends happy. The questions are on the basic concepts as outlined above in Alan's post. There is no significant focus on PM.

The manuals are not exactly clear on this, but you can assign localized values to all (text/alias) attributes - so you can have localized attribute values.

Hi,

If you're using Internet Explorer you need to check your IE regional settings. For more info see this thread.

Re: TM1 10.2.2 released (or not)

I've had a look at the new localization feature. Here's what I found. Localization is accomplished through a 'Caption' attribute, which lets you assign localized names to cubes, dimensions and dimension elements. You can assign Caption attribute values for all language locales supported in TM1, whic...

TM1 10.2.2 released (or not)

Yesterday I received an 'IBM My Notifications' mail with links to all kind of notes on TM1 10.2.2. However it doesn't seem to be available (yet). I found a 'IBM Cognos TM1 10.2.2 Microsoft Windows Multilingual eAssembly (CRRG9ML)', but this contains 10.2.1 components... The link to the documentation...
