Re: Request for help in a Quixotic quest against a useless Microsoft dialog

Both upvoted. Although a lot more people will have to donate their clicks if these ideas are to get to the level of popularity of, say, Esperanto support for orthography and grammar for office and Windows.

Re: SSL breaks on Nov 24

What's your understanding on that limitations? The manual switch to v2 certs approach you have chosen is absolutely fine for pre-10.2.2 FP4 versions, including yours, except for the following components: Ops Console, PmHub, CAFE. So if you are not using them, then you need not worry. Here is a quot...

Re: TM1 Feeders - Rule is nested If's and Source Cube is a Control Cube.

It's too bad that someone didn't know or think to tell me that, but in any case thank you for the help you did provide. It's also a pity you did not describe better what you were trying to do. There is no mention of Cognos BI in your original post. There is some mention of Framework Manager and Rep...

Hi Abdul,

That is what I suggested some 15 posts ago, but it doesn't seem to have struck a chord.

Re: Numeric values not copying from source to target elaments

Abdul, I think you have me confused with someone else. i have multiple source customers and multiple target customers being selected in the control cube , so i need multiple elements to be added in my subset. when i use the above code it is creating the subset with the last element selected in the ...

Actually in the above code when i am trying to create the view it is throwing the below error ; Position of elements exceeds the number of elements in subset + 1. Change the below line: SubsetElementInsert( pDimension, cTempSubFrom, pSourceCustomer, i ); to this: SubsetElementInsert( pDimension, cT...

Re: Roll up in subset using MDX query

I created a MDX query to find out the lines which is having type as categoryA and it works fine, but what Im missing is the roll up total.. Please let me know if the total can be done? THE way to aggregate numbers in TM1 is via consolidations defined in dimensions. Other ways exist, but always have ...

Re: Tries & parallel loads using tm1runti

Staggering the start times seems to me that you are just creating a queue at the beginning of the process rather than the end? True, but as I said, there needs to be a queue somewhere anyway. The goal is to have a situation where for as long as possible N-1 threads are processing something and 1 th...

Re: TM1 10.2.2 FP6

Is this a cumulative install? Which means I need to install the FP6 (up_plananalytics_winx64h_10.2.5260.167_ml.tar.gz) first, followed by FP6 IF1 (up_plananalytics_winx64h_10.2.5260.1002_ml.tar.gz) ? All Interim Fixes for TM1 require the base FP to be in place. So you will need to install FP6 first...

Re: Tries & parallel loads using tm1runti

I've done quite a bit of work on solutions similar to what you are describing - possibly even larger in scale (up to parallel 60 threads, each one loading tens of millions of records). As Brian points out, commits are definitely serialised, so can become a bottleneck. This is true even if there is n...

Re: Understanding TM1 memory usage a bit more

I get where you coming from and knowing is usually (but probably not always) much better than not knowing. However, I have to warn you that it is quite hard in practice to figure out the algorithms of TM1's memory management via the black box approach (i.e. generating some inputs and examining the o...

Re: Numeric values not copying from source to target elaments

Is this bad practice and will not feeding it make my cube slower? Not at all. Underfeeding by itself cannot make a cube slower - if anything, it will be faster. It can however lead to incorrect results or zero suppression problems - sometimes these can be acceptable or worked around and sometimes t...

Re: Numeric values not copying from source to target elaments

I am using both CellPutS and CellPutN in my code still it failing to write numeric values into target cells. You really need to add a few AsciiOutput statements around your IFs to see what exactly is going on and which sections of your code get executed. No one here is able to execute every branch ...

Re: Numeric values not copying from source to target elaments

The process has a debug switch as one of its parameters. Use it and you're likely to get some information on what's going on. I doubt anyone will have the time and resolve to go through each line of that TI and try and figure out what it might be doing, especially since you haven't told us anything ...

For any such dimension you will need to have a total consolidation in the dimension and use that in ...

Re: SSL breaks on Nov 24

Once the certificates are updated to v2 on the server side (Certificate version = 2 on TM1 Admin Server and on Tm1s.cfg), the client isn't able to list the servers unless the SSL options are filled-in with v2. And this even with UseSSL=F ! I can only speculate that switching over to v2 certificates...

But my current configuration is non SSL and if I let all the SSL fields empty under the Architect TM1 options (so mainly Certifcate Authority and Certifcate ID), everything is working fine. So why on 25th of Nov should I fill in the fields? Is there another modification to do on the client side? We...
