Re: ATTRS function

If no alias is set the alias entry is empty in the }ElementAttributes cube (and will be retrieved as such using AttrS in TI) it is because one's did not specify the aliases value so you have somewhere a trace that you left some unspecified alias. then you could hunt them to populate them if you do ...

Re: ATTRS function

Hi there, I have not recheck that specifically, but I think TM1 display "empty" alias attribute value to be the original element name but does not automatically populate the "alias" in the element attribute cube. I think the alias value might still be empty in the dimension attribute cube which coul...

Re: Auditing User Usage - to minimize the no.of user licence

isn't cognos tm1 uses name license ? There are still some old licence agreement that have allowed customers from the days prior to Iboglix to keep the old concurrent licence schema... In our case we use 9.4 with 50 concurrent licence hence the monitoring of concurrent user access to ensure we stay ...

Re: Auditing User Usage - to minimize the no.of user licence

I am monitoring the concurrent accesses on my server by running a process which check the "}ClientProperties" cube and look for the "Status" value = Active. User connected would have a status of "Active" in the "}ClientProperties" cube while they are connected. The process is set in a chore that run...

Re: Spreading in Contributor Question

1 - Initialise the budget lines with data which represent the relevant proportionality but do not hold the final volume you want to budget. In our environment, the business users select a set of actual weeks from a prior year that represent the best the business as usual cost distribution by account...

Re: Spreading in Contributor Question

If the spreading method is a proportional spread,
you need to have reference numbers in the target cells to spread to so the numbers distribution can drive the proportionality for the spreading.

I think you would have to initialise the target areas for the spreading with numbers.

Hope this helps,

Re: DBSW vs DBS Clearing cells

Hi, What is the source for the number you are trying to load through the DBSW formula ? DBRWs can not be used to source a DBSW. It is due to the priority in which the formula get calculated. You can look at this post for more details. http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3064 Hope this helps,

If you have used dual monitor before the subset editor might just be showing on the other screen.

This post can help you to resolve this :

Re: Relative Proportional Spread with XL Macro or TI

I think you need to break down your process in smaller steps to find the right/applicable solution. -for cost centres 1234, 5678, 9012 for Jan 2013, Feb 2013, Jun 2013, reproportion all Expense Allocations based on Actuals month Feb 2012, with a growth of 10% per month etc... I read that as follow :...

Re: Need Help

Subsets can not exist within other subset... a subset is merely a view or subsection of elements within a dimension. Actually, copying a subset into a subset results in generating a user defined consolidation ;) This has nothing to do with the original question once decrypted but worth reminding. T...

Re: Relative Proportional Spread with XL Macro or TI

Hi there, In a view or in an excel template containing DBRWs, you can use the relative proportional spread using right mouse click. ( without macros). If you need to send exactly the same data from one element to another. You could handle it by doing a simple data transfer via TI. I am thinking of a...

Re: SUBNM in active forms

Hi,

Does the dimension name contains a space ?
I think that might be creating the issue.
(In Tm1 web space are ignored and the dimension is not found in the system without the space name...)

Hope this helps,

Re: Sheet names in DBRWs

Hi All,

I am running 9.4MR1FP3 and this feature is there as described.
Sometime the formula generator fail completely as the worksheet name in each reference makes it too long for the DBRW to be written in Excel.

This was not the case in 9.1SP3UPD2.

Hi there, A / maybe you could post your drill assignment rules and some infos on your cube dimensionality to get some feedback on that ? All I can say from here is that the concept looks right... Re: Drill into 2 views

Hi there,

Maybe you could have a navigation from the first view result of the drill down to the equivalent view in the second cube you intended to open as well ?
Both views will not open at the same time but it could be a workaround ?

Re: Drilling to Dynamic Cube View + Drilling from a Graph?

Hi, I think you should read the tm1 developer guide on how to build Drill Downs to get started. I found that it was a good initial guidance to identify the steps to take in order to implement drill downs. After that you can apply the relevant customisations in the drill process depending of you targ...
