Re: SQL Query Error On TI Prolog tab

I always use sQuote = CHAR (39)/CHAR(34) in cases when '/" required in SQL statement. Find easier to understand and debug.

A maniac list of new functions...

Hi Fellows, I've just came across this new maniac list of functions ( or maybe just new to me    ) https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSD29G_2.0.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.tm1_ref.2.0.0.doc/c_attributemanipulationturbointegratorfunctions_n71004.html Seems to me over-engineered, ...

Re: How to get info from tm1server.log for which cube indivitual info is related to?

If memory servers me right, then TM1.Cube.Stargate.Definition will give you detailed definition of a star gate, as well as a cube name

Please let me know how you go

Re: TM1 Server Crash

You mentioned overfeeding as one thing, when reading up on this I came across circular referencing. So just wondered if there were any schoolboy errors that could lead to this Don't think circular reference would normally crash the server, but blowing feeder stack and memory would. Any server log m...

Re: Tm1 Server not starting

Well it happened again this morning and it looks like I've found out what the culprit was... there was a default view on a control cube and when I've deleted that folder from the data directory it has started up fine. Absolutely no idea why that would stop a server from starting but it has resolved...

Re: Server crash after data entry

Entry for Attrition %, Attrition calculated based on Average Balance, Average balance calculated as (Opening Balance + Closing Balance)/2 Sorry, I may not all the specific here, but why do you need to calculate Avg Balance with the rule? Cant you just use weighting to get your avg balance: avg: ope...

Re: TM1 Security question

As of I think FP5 or FP6 there is a new config parameter which disables this default behaviour and enforces users being added manually or via TI as opposed to on the fly on first login if the default behaviour is not what you want. Interesting info. Haven't been able to locate any documentation on ...

Re: TM1 Security question

I haven't imported any CAM Group yet. I added couple of CAM users and then tried to remove one user.
Sorry, that's a little contradicting. You can either add a CAM user to a CAM group or any of the three TM1 admin groups under security mode 4

Re: Maximum rows in active form?

First point of call would be to check inconsistently named named ranges, TM1 web sometimes acts funny with those.

Re: TM1 Security question

Isnt the user automatically validated against the existing group and created on the fly, given it's a mode 4?
I would have thought procedures would be as followed:
Run RemoveClientFromGroup, then remove the user from the group in CAM

Re: TM1 wait state processes are not executed

The issue the OP is raising though is that when the multi-threaded TIs get locked, when the lock is released from thread 1 why doesn't thread 2 run?
Something fails along the way and the rest is trashing perhaps..

Re: TM1 wait state processes are not executed

Metadata update is the most common offender when it comes to locking. Such operations should never be a part of a multi-user concurrent operation. I would be very surprised if metadata needs to updated each time someone executes Master Process

Re: TM1 wait state processes are not executed

Thank you all for you responses. The chore is auto schedule and executed from 5 to 5 minutes. It s searches using a select in the DB and it runs the master process for the entities where the flag is 0. Example: we have a,b,c,d rows in the DB and the flag for a,b is 0, the chore will run the process...

Re: TM1 wait state processes are not executed

Wait state indicates that target is still locked by another TI. Can you please identify what type of contention it is, e.g. IX etc. ? You said it triggered by a chore: does the chore run in single/multi commit mode? From the description below its not clear whether there is a single process or multip...

Perhaps try learning basics of TM1 first ( there is plenty of documentation out-there) before wasting people's time on this forum...
