Re: TM1 Security question

As of I think FP5 or FP6 there is a new config parameter which disables this default behaviour and enforces users being added manually or via TI as opposed to on the fly on first login if the default behaviour is not what you want. Interesting info. Haven't been able to locate any documentation on ...

Re: TM1 Security question

I haven't imported any CAM Group yet. I added couple of CAM users and then tried to remove one user.
Sorry, that's a little contradicting. You can either add a CAM user to a CAM group or any of the three TM1 admin groups under security mode 4

Re: Maximum rows in active form?

First point of call would be to check inconsistently named named ranges, TM1 web sometimes acts funny with those.

Re: TM1 Security question

Isnt the user automatically validated against the existing group and created on the fly, given it's a mode 4?
I would have thought procedures would be as followed:
Run RemoveClientFromGroup, then remove the user from the group in CAM

Re: TM1 wait state processes are not executed

The issue the OP is raising though is that when the multi-threaded TIs get locked, when the lock is released from thread 1 why doesn't thread 2 run?
Something fails along the way and the rest is trashing perhaps..

Re: TM1 wait state processes are not executed

Metadata update is the most common offender when it comes to locking. Such operations should never be a part of a multi-user concurrent operation. I would be very surprised if metadata needs to updated each time someone executes Master Process

Re: TM1 wait state processes are not executed

Thank you all for you responses. The chore is auto schedule and executed from 5 to 5 minutes. It s searches using a select in the DB and it runs the master process for the entities where the flag is 0. Example: we have a,b,c,d rows in the DB and the flag for a,b is 0, the chore will run the process...

Does chore run in multi or single commit mode?
Each user runs a chore...?

PersistentFeeders would be number one offender on my list, caused headache too many times before. Rule of thumb: Keep them off during the development at all times!

Re: TM1 wait state processes are not executed

Wait state indicates that target is still locked by another TI. Can you please identify what type of contention it is, e.g. IX etc. ? You said it triggered by a chore: does the chore run in single/multi commit mode? From the description below its not clear whether there is a single process or multip...

Re: Conslidated Avg Function in Rules

Hi, Why do yo need to push ConsolidatedAvg into a new value of a No week, when you can just have an All Weeks Average Consolidation ( or whatever you want to call it ) and simple a rule like this: ['All Weeks Average'] = C: ConsolidatedAvg(1,'Cube Name', !Dim1, !Dim2,!Dim3,... Or no rule at all: All...

Re: MDX for 0 level elements with no level 1 parent

What about level 0's that have no level 1 parent but do have a parent at level 2,3,4, etc.? Merely tried to demonstrate how you can achieve it with MDX, i.e If you don't have 1st parent then by default you have no further parents. Does it make sense? On the other hand if you are trying to establish...

Re: Active form MDX Order

Hi Guys, Following my previous post, I can confirm that SubsetToSet didnt return desired results. I played around with Generate, but didnt have any luck either. However, following Declar's logic, this workabout should address your issue in the interim (not elegant either): 1. I used simple MDX: {ORD...

Re: Active form MDX Order

Thanks, That is exactly what I thought would work. But the outer order resorts the data based on the values in Amount column, breaking the inner ordered set. Apologies, misunderstood your requirements... could you it split into two subsets with SubsetToSet? I.e. subset1: Order by Tier, subset2: Ord...

Re: Dynamic drop down list on TM1 web

That is like saying "person who manage TM1 does not actually want this requirement met" The best way (by far) to solve the requirement is to use a picklist cube. It is completely irrelevant that this another TM1 object. Or more like saying person who manages TM1 does not know what is he / she doing...
