Re: Error number 254 and broken TI processes

Below is the language file from 10.1 as I don't have 9.5.2 installed currently but I did have a scan over Express 9.5 and its language file is identical except it only goes as far as row 429... so its safe to assume that row 254 in 9.5.2 is as stated in here... and as expected it doesn't really help...

Re: Error number 254 and broken TI processes

Velteron, Before you started developing the application, was it implemented and working correctly? If so what has changed in between it processing correctly and giving you the error message? Based on the message it gives you I would guess that language files have been deleted out of the directory bu...

Re: ConsolidatedAvg Function

Cheers for the responses... nice to know I wasn't just going insane.

I ended up going the old school way around the average method anyway.

I am currently testing 10.1 and when I regain my energy after the ridiculously long install time I will possibly start having a look at the rules editor etc.

ConsolidatedAvg Function

I expect to be redfaced when responses come in for this question but here it is: I am currently working on 9.5.2 and have heard rumours of mythical functions e.g. consolidatedavg, consolidatedmax etc... In the rules editor these functions aren't recognised, is it simply a case of them having been ad...

Re: Best Practice for mapping consolidations -> leafs

I would usually go with the same approach that Alan has mentioned; the only addition I would make is that to remove the issue with not having validation I would add a subset based picklist in, so that you can only select string values based on elements from a subset in your Account Dimension therefo...

Re: Aceess TM1 Objects using Web Portal.

sg2012,
Now I have a scenario where user cant give URL of the web
What is it you are referring to here?... Do you mean that the URL most clients use doesn't work for a particular one?
If so; does said client have access to the host server?

Sander, The rules you have written are effectively saying that the first 6 months are 40/6 and the second 6 months are 60/6... this is the equivalent of hardcoding. There are no variables to make the rule change. It is simply saying it will always be that number regardless of anything else going on ...

Drill into 2 views

All, I had never used the drill functionality prior to this week as previously hadn't had a requirement to do so but then a requirement appeared so out came the "manuals"... I have successful created and assigned 2 "dynamic" drill processes to a cube that work perfectly as desired, 1 summary cube th...

Re: How to handle non unique values?

ComplexQry, There are a few good explanations on consolidations shown in other threads on here if you search for them... Your post doesn't really explain what it is you want: In TM1 a leaf level element can exist under multiple consolidations (but it will add up into all of them) If your leaf level ...

Re: Need someone to help me orgenize the different products

nholtzsh what are you actually looking to use the products for? Saying that you are new to TM1 would indicate that you probably only need to be interested in the differences between TM1 and Cognos Express (Cognos Express allows you to have 1 instance of TM1 and a max of 100 clients... its 1 version ...

Re: Need your help with accumulative total

TI loading depends on historic data not changing (or being built to deal with it) so depends what the op's after really. "Actuals are Actuals" is a phrase more often quoted in Finance than adhered to in my experience Personally every Finance department I have dealt with have been fantastic at maint...

Re: Need your help with accumulative total

Or assuming that the Period values are loaded by TI?
=> You could just add an extra section to the TI that works out the YTD or CUM values and inputs them

declanr, the functionality you are writing of is Check Feeders, not Trace Feeders. Trace Feeders does the opposite.

Re: FEEDERS HELP

I presume that you have feeders in the rulesheet of cube1 and the rule in the rulesheet of cube2? Not of the greatest help but if you right click on a cell and choose trace feeders It will tell you if a cell is not fed (if it is fed it will tell you nothing.) When you say nothing changes in cube 2.....

Re: TM1 model across multiple company

winsonlee, I haven't done this in a while but when I was developing a model a couple of years ago we did have a few subsidiaries on one instance of TM1. We simply had them rule driven into an Income Statement and SoFP cube with each going to an "Entity" element within a "Subsidiaries" dim. There was...

Re: Tm1 logout for websheet launched via URL API

You could reduce the IdleConnectionTimeOutSeconds paramter in the tm1 config file. This would off course disconnect after inactivity in any interface as opposed to just TM1 web, not sure if there is a specific web time out but I would doubt it... On second thoughts a quick scan of documentation foun...

Sorry that was my poor memory coming into play that was just a standard Active Forms use I have found however if you use the TM1 Tools paste function that if in AutoCal you won't see the error message but if you do it with manual calc on I get an error stating that it is unable to read the clipboard...

Re: TM1 Tools Issues And Discussions (Was *KEY_ERR Tracer)

I am not entirely sure if it is related but I did find when using active forms (within a book that had many active forms) pressing Shift F9 caused the old data to re-appear whereas pressing F9 submitted the correct values... not entirely sure if this helps your situation or not. Most of my work with...

Re: Can you use an ATTRS within a DIMIX rules function?

With the ELISCOMP function not doing quite what you want, are you aware there is an ELISANC function which relates to ancestors rather than components so you could apply it even with 2 levels of separation.

Re: Can you use an ATTRS within a DIMIX rules function?

Do you not simply want to check if the Attribute returned exists as an element?

If so the code would be as follows (without the DB):
IF(DIMIX('Time_Month',ATTRS('Project_Measures',!Project_Measures,'TimeMonth'))=0,3,2);
