Re: Copy version performance

You'll get a far better response if you post the code It is worth checking the View Manipulation TurboIntegrator Functions in the Reference guide specifically: ViewExtractSkipZeroesSet ViewExtractSkipRuleValuesSet ViewExtractSkipConsolidatedStringsSet CubeUnload will not help you in this scenario bu...

Re: TM1 model size

It is always beneficial to check the Request for Assistance Guidelines http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1037 3) Try to make the question as specific as possible. A general question like "How do I write a rule?" is difficult to answer without copying out the whole of the user manual. A que...

Re: Updating Element Attributes in TI Process

Yes, as the function describes from the link:
SubsetMDXSet
This function removes the MDX expression from a dynamic subset and converts the dynamic subset to a static subset without locking the underlying dimension.

Re: Admin Access via Starup Chore

It would be worth posting the code so the issue could be identified easier. If you need to restart the server twice, what do you think is happening? Dimension Updates only occur at a certain point in the process and can cause issues where you are inserting elements and attaching data to these elemen...

Re: Can a user (no admin) create dynamic subsets in TM1 Web and save it?

Server Explorer is another name for 'Architect' and along with Performance Modeler is the tool to develop TM1 models. TM1Web is a client for accessing TM1 models, users are able to create/ amend "private" subsets as they wish. I would advise spending some time with the Cognos TM1 User Guide as this ...

Re: ExecuteProcess statement

Think about what you are asking here. Will the second statement in my TI Process before the first one is complete? No, TM1 will process each statement in order and once completed will move onto the next statement. That's not to say you cannot set loops or conditions in place to control flow within y...

Re: Execute Command problem

Do your processes lock each other up? Take a look at Greeny Dangerous's blog post on the subject: this is the most important part: one must design the runnable TI process in way that when it’s executed in separate threads the executions dont lock up each other http://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/greenydan...

Re: TM1 Process Redesigning

What sort of response are you expecting? Only you know the existing processes and know the dependencies of the Actuals Load process through all 29 processes. If there are 29 processes and it works fine and operates at a satisfactory level performancewise then what's the issue? Excessive administrati...

Worth checking the config file for MaxGroupsInsert or something along those lines. I think the default is 20 bit without more information on the crash it's just shooting in the dark

Re: Pivot Excel Output From Cube Using TI process

The key point to note is that TI processes work in a logical and prescribed manner, Prolog runs once Metadata runs for each record in the datasource Data runs for each record in the datasource Epilog runs once Therefore if you have an ASCIIOUTPUT statement on your Data tab then you will output the d...

Re: Unable to load all the records into Target Cube

My first instinct was that the element was not added to the dimension in the metadata as per the posts above, however, checking the reference guide for DIMENSIONELEMENTINSERTDIRECT we have: When the purpose of the TurboIntegrator process is to load large volumes of data into a cube. In this case the...

Re: Local server not working after SSL certificate change

My guess is that it uses the default tm1s.cfg which would be generated with a new TM1 server, at present this new server would implicitly refer to CertificateVersion=1 as there is no CertificateVersion parameter in the tm1s.cfg file If the user is using the Version 2 Certificate in their client, the...

Re: Local server not working after SSL certificate change

You have to stick with one update method in your estate, Either: - Update all the applixca.pem certs from version 1 to version 2 or - Update the tm1s.cfg file with CertificateVersion=2 and amend the Admin Host version, then amend the Client Certificate to tm1_ca_v2.pem You cannot connect to a 'stand...
