Re: Error launching PAW 2.0.6

PAX does not need to authenticate to PAW; PAW only acts as a proxy for PAX requests.

Still not sure I understand exactly what is not working for you

Also note that you can now use TM1 Authentication for any of modes 1-5. All authentication will be delegated to the TM1 instance you specify.

Re: Error launching PAW 2.0.6

If you configure the Gateway URL, that has to be reachable externally by your users since they will be redirected to that URL.

Where are you running PAX? Ensure the firewall for the TM1 HttpPortNumber is open.

You can just ignore those, the docker-compose application will print that message out if an environment variable is referenced in a docker-compose.yml file but it is not defined.

For now, edit scripts/backup.sh and comment out these lines by putting # in front of each: step "Hot backup of mongo for PAW distributed restore" mkdir -p "${BACKUP_DIR}/mongo" docker run --rm --network "${PAW_NET}" -v "${BACKUP_DIR}/mongo":/backup:z --user "$TOOL_USER:$TOOL_GROUP" mongo:3.2.10 bash...

Re: PAW Link unable to access remotely

PAW is exposed on a NAT network. You don't care about the IP address of containers. There is no need to modify the default NAT network subnet (unless the subnet conflicts with your existing network).

You access PAW via the host IP on port 80 / 443.

Re: Docker & McAfee on Windows Server

Disabling AV software may not be effective as often file system drivers are installed at boot time.

You can run the

Code: Select all

fltmc
command to see active filter drivers.

Run the Start.ps1 script -- looks like the images are not loaded.

Re: PAW Docker image Error

This sort of error may appear if you have AV software on the machine that is not compatible with Windows Containers. Any AV software installed on this machine?

Have you checked with Process Explorer that indeed no other process is accessing that file?

What does

show? Seems like a service is unhealthy.

Try to restart the services,

Code: Select all

scripts/paw.ps1 restart

Re: Does anyone know how to run 2 PAW instances on same server?

I suggest you log an RFE for PAW Local to support more than one environment (as it does on Cloud) -- i.e., dev / test/ prod tenants.

Upcoming PAW releases will run on orchestration engines (Swarm/Kubernetes).

Re: Tm1 PAW Start.bat exit with code 0

This is because by default the latest boot2docker.iso image is used for the VM. At some point Docker has updated it to require TLS 1.2, whereas with the older version of Docker Toolbox (which containers the docker.exe client) defaults to an earlier TLS version. Adding that environment variable is th...

You probably have to move Dutch to the top of the language list.

You can check the 'Accept-Language' header sent by the browser to the server, that controls which captions are selected.

Re: PAW - promotion of books

You want to use the "Lifecycle Management" functionality to migrate books between environments.

Under your username (you must be an Administrator), pick "Administer" and then "Lifecycle Managemet".

This permits you to zip up book definitions and then load them in another environment.

Run:
scripts/paw.ps1

You may see all containers (including stopped ones) with docker ps -a

The initialization container will exit when it has done its job.

Re: PAW not working after network changes

There is a logged defect for Docker that you may be hitting. It is related to a daemon setting, 'shutdown-timeout'. https://success.docker.com/api/articles/windows-server-node-fails-to-restart-containers/pdf See if a reboot fixes it (it would unmount the VHD). Generally, the better performing your W...
