Re: Application.Run("DBRW"...) RECALC_0_3 in Worksheet_Change

Is it possible that your "confusing" Excel and the TM1 client?

Your worksheet change macro does not include disabling of events and so could be getting triggered multiple times.

Re: Copy Workspace BOOK

Hi, The buttons are not that clear. Import - means load the .gz into the Lifecycle Management environment. Migrate - means place the objects that I have imported into the PAW environment I have selected. At this point you will be asked for a folder name. Once the objects are migrated they will appea...

Re: Local Installation Crashes

Hi, Can you be explicit about the "crash" behaviour? Do you mean user gets bored waiting and kills Excel or an actual crash?

Re: Server crashing with "Evalution stack overflow"

Hi, In my experience on the versions where I had models with this issue my approach is as follows. (I'm qualifying this because the behaviour has been different in different releases and I've not had a model like this in recent builds). I _think_ the stack is 2^9 =512, therefore reset every 500 "ste...

Re: Server crashing with "Evalution stack overflow"

Hi, If you move the rule sheet for the problem cube then your server will start, with PersistentFeeders=F. This issue normally happens when you feed forward over time, i.e. todays opening balance to tomorrows closing balances. See this thread for more detail https://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=...

Re: DBRW formula works for development server but not for production server

This should be a simple issue. I'd try the DBRW in totally fresh session versus the live server, rather than switching admin servers and relogging. My best guess from your screen shot is that one of the cell references is not evaluating properly when the DBRW calcs since the DBRW is returning #Value...

Are your development TM1 database and your production database called the same thing?

Re: Statsby Rule Cube

IMO Total Run Count should be 6 as these are the only cells that are fed. But this would be if A. This is the first time the rule has been calculated B. None of the cells that are currently zero had previously had a number in it prior to the rule being calculated, this would mean that some of the ze...

PAx DBRW type over failure

This impacted 2.0.42 with CAM log ins. (not tested if it happens in mode 1) When entering a number over a DBRW the formula was being over written by a value. Cause. On first log-in the issue did not show. If you close Excel and attempt to log back in you are not asked to re-authenticate but automati...

Re: PAx, authenticating with CAM and mutiple instances

This was resolved by moving to the latest versions of PAx and the TM1 DB and using the newish PMHubless connection.

Re: PAX has blank task pane

I think happens because you have pointed PAx at the TM1 server not the PAW server, without the PAW sever the "web" stuff doesn't work.

Also make sure you have IE11 on the client machine.

EDIT : See below, it's what JorelB says

Re: Occasionally stuck making ODBC connection

Hi, In my experience this usually happens because the destination server is locked performing some kind of major activity. Though you've checked to see if the connection is made is there any reason Netezza would be refusing the connection or locked in some way? I'm not aware of any to test if the co...

If you've done a major rewrite then I'd suggest deleting all feeder files with the server shut down. It will sort itself out on start-up.

Re: IBM License Metric Tool?

If you need it or not depends on your licence so your partner should be able to tell you exactly if you need it or not. I would have thought that if you needed it and the audit is already underway then your going to have a potentially expensive problem. Broadly you need ILMT if you are running TM1 o...

Re: Use subsets in DBRW

The need to generate ad-hoc totals from a random lists of elements is a valid use-case, I just don't like the subset / UDC driven solution. If they are starting from scratch I think there are probably better ways we can deliver ad-hoc totals without the loss of control that subset as totals and othe...

I'm always curious about the desire for UDCs and avoiding setting up a true consolidation, can I ask what your use case is such that you don't want to set-up a consolidation?

Re: Change to DimensionElementComponentAdd in PA vs 10.2?

The second new behaviour, being unable to add an a child to an N level and so protecting the application from data loss is an "interesting" change. Whilst for many use cases it is sensible it makes other use cases much more challenging. In our code base where we want to protect the environment from ...
