Re: Parallel data loads and TM1runTI, Hustle

Hi Evgeny, I cannot quite confirm this: 2. Hustle - TM1RunTI with inbuilt queuing mechanism, but has a limitation where threads must be ran under different users, as when user thread logs out and another thread tries to log back in (under the same user account) it creates a lock. Potentially a lot o...

Re: Parallel data loads and TM1runTI, Hustle

Hi both, do not miss to take a look at RushTI (also from Cubewise). It works just like hustle.exe, but it uses only one connection for all the calls, so less overhead, e.g. less traffic in your LDAP connection. It just requires Python installed on the server plus a little library with TM1 specific p...

Re: hustle.exe redirect output

Well. After more fiddling around I got it to work after I made the call a parameter of cmd.exe and refrained from putting double quotes around the redirection target file... That is to say, for me it works quite simply like this: sCMD = 'D:\Hustle\Hustle.exe ' | sTaskFile | ' ' | NumberToString(p_nT...

hustle.exe redirect output

Dear all, since a few weeks we have been using hustle.exe with great success. However, I did not manage yet to redirect the output to a text file, can someone help? This is how I tried it. Hustle executes, but sTaskLogFile is not created: sCMD = '"D:\Hustle\Hustle.exe" "' | sTaskFile | '" "' | Numbe...

RuleLoadFromFile(Cube, TextFile) could be even quicker if it is just about reinstating the previously deleted rules

DB load time 10.2.2 vs Planning Analytics

Dear all,

we are about to move from Version 10.2.2 to 11.1.0.30. While testing, I found that our models seem to take around 25% more time to load in V11 than in V10.

Can anyone confirm that? What do you experience? Any recommendations maybe?

Thank you
Holger

Re: }ElementAttributes type control cube missing

Hi, I believe the core of it is, whenever you have a rule in a cube that includes the }Cubes dimension, and this rule throws an error, }ElementAttribute Cubes will not be created, and there will be no error message to make you aware. You will have to rely on the forum and on helpful guys like you, l...

Re: Send encrypted email out of TI

I discussed the matter with our IT department. Looks like we will use a separate Outlook mailbox which encrypts all outgoing email by default, so it seems to be solved.

Re: Send encrypted email out of TI

Sorry I was unclear in this point - what I had in mind is, we set up a new TM1 user profile and want to communicate the user's password. Or the user asks for the password to be reset, and we want to send a message with the new password. And yes, Paul, we will have integrated login actually, but not ...

Send encrypted email out of TI

We have set up a little TI application for the centralized administration of users and groups across several TM1 models. What we would love to add next is automated email sending, with notifications like "You have been added to group XYZ..." and so on. But of course our IT guidelines will especially...

Re: Variable variable names

Now some time has passed and my hair has turned grey, I re-read this and found that today I would probably use a string variable to store all those values, maybe like this: sString = 'V01=1#V02=9#V03=4#' Or maybe just '1#9#4#', then reading this input again where ever I need it. Could even be a glob...

Re: Unable to do executecommand from TI

Today, I came across this thread while I was trying to delete a data source file in the epilog (which is created in the prolog), and I struggled with this "file is in use" error. Here is how I finally did it: sBatchFile = '}tmp_my_del.bat'; ExecuteCommand('cmd /c echo sleep 10 > ' | sBatchFile, 1); ...

Re: How to identify language settings

Ha!! That's exactly the type of code I had in mind. Thank you, rmackenzie!

Seems this will also help me to set up an automated list of all TM1 databases across all servers together with the ports they are using, which the other day someone suggested to set up in Excel (*shivers with disgust*)

Re: How to identify language settings

Very interesting, thank you! The reason why I am playing around with this is of course that I want to create views that will open instantly, well, as a default, when the user clicks on the dimension. Unfortunately this does not work in a German environment unless its name is "Standard" instead of "D...

That's just my perfectionist manner :-) Would be nice to make it work for all my clients automatically. I guess I will make it an input parameter.

How to identify language settings

Currently, I am writing an application which, among other things that it does, creates default views and subsets. Can anyone think of a trick to identify a databases' language settings so I can decide how to name them? They are in the cfg file, I know, but we can not be sure the cfg file will always...

Re: 10.2.2 RunTI.exe with SSO

It works like you said, Dan. Basically, you just need to add the CAMNamespace parameter to make it work, and use the windows password instead of the TM1 password.

Re: sf_DeleteFile

Hi, I came across this error message just this morning. There is an asciioutput in the epilog of a process, and the server log says: sf_DeleteFile: Error on file ... (Here comes the name of the output file). It continues like this: 9856 [] ERROR 2015-04-07 04:30:25.414 TM1.Server sf_SafeDeleteFile()...
