Re: Updating cubes across different applications with TI

What do you mean with Application ? A websheet / view / ... or is a TM1 server (model) ?

It it's a different model you could look at TM1RunTI.exe (or similar solutions but TM1RunTI.exe is the basis).

CellSecurityCubeCreate (Destroy also exists)

It must have been 10.0 somewhere (from memory).

Re: Method for handling Rules for Actuals/Forecast periods

Like ykud, we have the same in a not so small TM1 FPA model for a retail customer. It works fine in general. [As a sidenote, and I don't want to hijack the thread. On a regular basis, in this model I replace rules- calculated actuals in planning periods with actuals copied in by TI. It's an exercise...

You can point the shortcut to the correct file in the correct folder.

Re: Tm1 Rules with Date and month

Exactly.
Or, you rework the day element to a month name, which itself has an attribute to the related month name. That can be an option too.

You could use an attribute at the day level and retrieve that value ?

Hello, If you have an MDX expression, you can use SubsetCreateByMDX to create a subset with said MDX, and then loop through the subset: sDim = '...'; sSub = '...'; nMax = SubsetGetSize( sDim, sSub ); nCtr = 1; While( nCtr <= nMax ); sEl = SubsetGetElementName( sDim, sSub, nCtr ); # ... nCtr = nCtr +...

Hello, Do you have the cube, that will capture the process run details, set up ? What dimensions do you have in that cube ? The idea is that every process should have code near the top of the Prolog tab to capture the starting time. A variable will be perfect. Then, in the Epilog tab, you record the...

Or open up both exports in Excel, one below the other. Make sure the same columns are used in the same order. Then multiply 1 set of values with -1 and create a pivot table. The differences will remain.

Hello,

What kind of cells are contained in the view ? Level 0 / consolidated / string. Rules-calculated or not ? Fed or not ?

Can you make the view smaller to identify the gaps and find a pattern ?

it then works out which groups they are in and then checks the security at cube, dimension, and element level as well as cell security Adding up rights for a user over his/her groups, is indeed the real advantage and benefit. Anything related to that in TM1/PA to help admin users there would be an ...

Re: Checking the data source of a TI process

Hi all, Here is an updated version, much improved. TECH_check data source.pro New functionality is a simple choice for AsciiOutput and/or LogOutput and/or sending an email. Sending an email is there, it would use a helper TI process and supply a number of parameters, that you can / have to whip up y...

Re: TI - Add new element in alphabetical order under consolidation

I never had perfomance issue with SaveDataAll Start recreating feeders file of about 10GB each and you will see savedata of about 30 minutes. During business hours this is unacceptable. It will be a CubeSaveData of }DimensionProperties but not sure how this function will allow us to solve the probl...

Re: TI - Add new element in alphabetical order under consolidation

Thanks CellPutN.
What is the use of the SaveDataAll ? Could it be a CubeSaveData of the respective }ElementAttributes cube ?
In some bigger models I have in mind, I don't fancy a SaveDataAll. Or maybe a control cube for dimension properties.

Re: TI - Add new element in alphabetical order under consolidation

About active forms: I don't hate them anymore. We will never become good friends but we accept each other. For the dimension edits: I brought up the case of projects and customers because I inherited a TM1 model for keeping timesheets data (hours spent), which then generates invoices based on that. ...

Re: TI - Add new element in alphabetical order under consolidation

Normally you would use an artificial key for this; something like an employee ID code from the HR module. You can use the name as an alias. You can then use MDX to create sorted subsets which put the elements into the order that you want. True. But start using consolidations to collapse and expand ...

This is of course ridiculously cumbersome if you have a long list of cubes and the one that has the view is right down the bottom.
