Re: AutoHotKey - run TM1 as a service or as an application

The above code was extended greatly by myself, not in the least by adding a GUI. If you often need to run different TM1 models, you will definitely want to use it.

The usual way I do it is via cellsecurity with rule referencing a locking cube
Indeed. Add to that a cell security cube with less (only the relevant) dimensions and you are good to go.

Re: TI problem loading "Comments"

If you can, set all Contents of the Variables to Other. Like that, the wizard is bypassed.
Then move on gradually. Did you do that ?

Re: TI problem loading "Comments"

I would expect a file with 3 columns: - an element for dimension 1 - an element for dimension 2 - the cell value Don't think it's going to be more basic than this. I have the feeling that, based on the questions you ask here in the forum, you will gain a lot with a basic TM1 training. While this wil...

I been doing this by first zeroing out source data then using DBSend to load to target ( a pain to do)
Of course it’s a pain to do so, if you first zero out the source. I hope that’s a typo.

Sure you can use TI. Use Bedrock or have a look at those typical TI scripts to move data intra cube.

Re: Which cubes use a certain dimension

Also, I found an easy trick to quickly see in which cubes a dimension is used: Go to the dimension's Subset Editor, then Tools > Filter... and the dropdown will show you the cubes containing the dimension.

No, use a Text attribute for this.

Re: Using TI to recreate a dimension changes not being picked up

You need to alter the data source name (adding and removing a space is fine) such that the preview is recreated but more importantly, the Variables tab is updated. Like that your process and the wizard can be updated.

Without seeing the code, it's impossible to solve the issue (if there is any issue).

Any particular reason why you are not using the built-in CubeSetLogChanges function in your TI?
Yes. Reducing locking, at least that's what I have always assumed the CellPutS does in favour of CubeSetLogChanges.

Re: Auto hide elements based on a specific time period

Hello,

You could indeed get fancy with (element) security based on the system clock. I would advise a TI process to update the control cube }ElementSecurity_YOURDIMENSION.

Re: Tm1 Action button - call Macro

What do you want to do ? Using a shape or textbox instead of an action button, and then the consequence is that you can't easily run TI processes ?

Re: How to get the the value out of a Amounts Dimension

As to the numeric value (cell value), you have 3 options: NumberToString( CellGetN('Budget_MK2',Nominals,Entity,Customer,Master_Customer,Account_Manager,BudgetCalendar,BusinessUnit,Department,Regions,Sales_Person,Version,'Value')) or NumberToString( NValue ) or NumberToString( whatever_you_call_your...

Re: How to get the the value out of a Amounts Dimension

That should work: vVAR = CellGetN('Budget_MK2',Nominals,Entity,Customer,Master_Customer,Account_Manager,BudgetCalendar,BusinessUnit,Department,Regions,Sales_Person,Version,'Value'); To retrieve a numeric value from a cube. Alternatively use NValue which is the value that you have in the Metadata / D...
