HierarchySortOrder problem

Hello Experts, I am trying to use HierarchySortOrder for the first time (I have 11 years experience with Tm1, and so far did not even know it existed!!!) Anyway, I put the following in the PROLOG DIMNAME = 'COA'; MyHierarchy = 'Trial Balance'; HierarchySortOrder (DIMNAME, MYHierarchy , 'ByName', 'De...

Re: Subnm index change

Thank you Paul and Steve, and Paul you are absolutely right. This is exactly what I was trying to do and what was happening. I dont think I like the 'feature'. But I, now, understand the why? Lets say, they want to pick element 9, 10, 11 successively, with my way, they will have to always scroll dow...

Subnm index change

Hi Experts, I have a report where the user will choose an entity SUBNM( 'ENTITY', 'SUBALL' , 1) the second choice, is to choose a branch from that specific entity. SUBNM ('branch', Sub-chosen-ENTITY, 1) it works perfectly the first choice only. Say the user chooses entity 1, and then the 5th branch ...

Re: Multiple COA Best Practice

Perfect. that confirms what I thought. And yes, obviously, it will be 1 set per ERP (which can have more than 1 entity). I inherited this account from another consultant, who tried 1 COA for all (because it is easier to report I guess). But here I am, and he is not. That says it. Thanks again for yo...

Re: Data Flow Controller and TM1 (ACTUALS)

Oh WOW. THANK YOU So much Lotsaram. (oddly, I did not receive an email to tell me that you posted something). I think, based on your answer I am going to explore both options (2-3) and decide if I want the same option for Metadata and data. I inherited at my client site, is option 1. The customer wa...

Re: SANDBOX commit specific data

Oh wow. Thanks. Never thought of the logging enablement.
I 'resolved' the problem by asking the user to download to excel the data he wants to keep and loading it using TI.
Why make it simple when you can complicated it.
But THANKS, I will look into the logging thing.

SubsetCreate by MDX

Hi expert. I created a subset in a TI process by mdx all recursive. It works beautifully. And I used it in views. I need to update it regularly. So, I had to write a subset destroy just before the subsetcreate in the TI. It does not want to destroy because it is used in a view. What is the solution?...

Re: PAW Widget Selector Alias

Ah…. That's it. Adding the selector from a subset instead of from the dimension itself.
I knew it had to be something simple.
Thank you. Very appreciated.

PAW Widget Selector Alias

Hi all,

This is a very basic question, but I cannot find the answer.
I just added a widget selector to a PAW view. I need to show the Alias and not the principal name.
I cannot find where.. Sorry, I am sure the answer is obvious, but cannot find it.
Thanks

Re: websheet function equivalent to cellisupdatable

Thanks Jim.
Yes, some fields are by rules, some are by security in the control cube, and
Some are by security at the dimension level (like Actuals are read only)

I tried to put a flag, but I have many user types. way too many flags!
Thanks for trying. I hoped the problem was already solved!

websheet function equivalent to cellisupdatable

Hi Expert,

I need to color differently the cells in a websheet depending if the cell is updatable or not.
I wish I can write a websheet command to find the STATUS of the cell (same logic as write clicking on it- Edit Status, which gives me cell is editable or not).

Thank you
