Re: #Value on PAfe but not Tm1Web/PAW or perspectives

Nothing to do with Security?

More usual tricks - Have they tried on another machine, and possibly different credentials?

Have you tried converting each part of the DBRW to a static value using F9 on each reference? Put a DIMIX on to each member being referenced to confirm it exists etc?

Sorry if I missed a comment but does any dbrw return a value in pax, even on a new report. If not check that all the excel addins are enabled on the users machine. Re: #Value on PAfe but not Tm1Web/PAW or perspectives

As you have probably noticed, #Value can literally mean anything or everything is broken. My two "go to" steps before trouble-shooting formulas are: 1) Open Task Pane, Check server connected to then Click Refresh All icon Sometimes your session has gone idle and this fixes it other time you are actu...

Re: Mdx to get 2 years date

I'll throw another option into the mix - based on a Daily period dimension but concepts should still apply. I have a subset that is updated via TI with the current business day each night. The Period in the subset is used as the basis from which to derive the last 32 days. The StringToMember bit wit...

Re: Rule set value to zero

I tend to use the Global Security Overlays to block things that are not Group specific and cell security to open things that are Group specific and where input is expected. If for example I do not want people to capture outside of my planning months on my rolling forecast scenario, I use the global ...

Re: Problem with CreateHierarchyByAttribute

HI Ty, Your last line about suspecting an alias being the issue brings an issue I had earlier to mind. A dynamic report was returning #Values when the TM1RPTROW had the Alias, Description on. Remove it and values were retrieved as expected. Copying the members with the alias on and pasting into the ...

Re: RFE 73333-Copy visible members from a cube view

Whoohoo - PAW - Copy Member from Cube View has changed status to: Future consideration Definitely going to prematurely celebrate this one!! Lost count of the number of times I needed to do this recently from PAW and had to export the view, open Excel and copy the members then paste into another view.

I would personally rather do a cast or convert and configure my TI variables for their purpose. Would not leave anything to chance.

Re: TM1 Performance

Think you will get vague answers as without being able to see the cube, difficult to say. 25 million rows does not seem particularly big at all. Have you run performance monitor to get an idea of where the memory is going? Input data, calculations etc? If you have string fields in your measures, thi...

Re: View in cube does not exist error

Random thought but have you tested if you have two dimensions on the rows in your default view then try move V_Verze to the Titles?
PAW explorations do not show data if you do not have dimensions on either rows or columns - may be similar.

Not sure what kind of activity you are trying to log but if it is TM1 related, you may try: log4j.logger.TM1.Folder=DEBUG, Folder log4j.appender.Folder=org.apache.log4j.SharedMemoryAppender log4j.appender.Folder.MemorySize=5 MB log4j.appender.Folder.File=TM1_Folder.log log4j.appender.Folder.MaxFileS...

If not, may be worthwhile configuring it - very useful detail when things go wrong.

Then the auditors are quite frankly idiots... Cannot disagree with you here. Complete lunacy as the account is protected with a long random generated password in case mode 1 is ever used. Had some auditors a few years back come with a ream of findings on another Unix system I ran at the time, telli...

Re: Prior Year and Next Year in Rules: What is Faster?

HI Adam, I use the attribute approach - find it easier for others to follow. Cannot comment on the speed of one vs the other. I also like having picklists attached to the attributes so that the values are aligned to my meta data and I do not have calculation running on something like 2025 where 2025...

Deleting the Admin account

HI, May seem like a silly question but has anyone deleted the Admin account and had any unintended consequences. Auditors raised a finding that the default user is "available" and want it removed. Using Security Mode 3 with AD so would give at least one named user Admin rights but just checking if a...
