Re: View in cube does not exist error

Random thought but have you tested if you have two dimensions on the rows in your default view then try move V_Verze to the Titles?
PAW explorations do not show data if you do not have dimensions on either rows or columns - may be similar.

Re: TM1S Logging Properties - Capturing form publishing

Not sure what kind of activity you are trying to log but if it is TM1 related, you may try: log4j.logger.TM1.Folder=DEBUG, Folder log4j.appender.Folder=org.apache.log4j.SharedMemoryAppender log4j.appender.Folder.MemorySize=5 MB log4j.appender.Folder.File=TM1_Folder.log log4j.appender.Folder.MaxFileS...

Re: ODBC Read Error

Hi Jim, have you configured a logger for TM1.SQLAPI that is logging the read error? Not sure from your post.
If not, may be worthwhile configuring it - very useful detail when things go wrong.

Re: Deleting the Admin account

Then the auditors are quite frankly idiots... Cannot disagree with you here. Complete lunacy as the account is protected with a long random generated password in case mode 1 is ever used. Had some auditors a few years back come with a ream of findings on another Unix system I ran at the time, telli...

Re: Prior Year and Next Year in Rules: What is Faster?

HI Adam, I use the attribute approach - find it easier for others to follow. Cannot comment on the speed of one vs the other. I also like having picklists attached to the attributes so that the values are aligned to my meta data and I do not have calculation running on something like 2025 where 2025...

Re: Deleting the Admin account

Thanks for link and the feedback guys. Will look at how to actually delete Admin as we have not tried yet.

Would be fun to have the auditors around and try it in Production to see the fireworks show ensue!

Deleting the Admin account

HI, May seem like a silly question but has anyone deleted the Admin account and had any unintended consequences. Auditors raised a finding that the default user is "available" and want it removed. Using Security Mode 3 with AD so would give at least one named user Admin rights but just checking if a...

Re: MDX to include aliases in result

Hi Andy, cannot explain how it would fit in, was just a wild idea of referencing the alias using the properties. Have not done enough cube view selections to be of more help. The only other thing that comes to mind is with PAW 2.0.63 there is an MDX button for the exploration - maybe if you can crea...

Re: MDX to include aliases in result

Possibly off on a tangent but have you tried using the member properties in the query - something like the syntax below:
[Customer].CurrentMember.Properties("Country")

Re: Setting default parameter in PAW based on subset

Or why not test if the Version has been left blank and then use the first element from the subset? I have had the same issue on PAW as the default will let you select from the subset, list etc. once configured but is not dynamic i.e. would be ideal to put 1 into the default to read element at index ...

Re: Cube last data pull

You could try using the TM1 Loggers e.g. #--VIEWARRAY log4j.logger.TM1.ViewArray=DEBUG, VIEWARRAY log4j.appender.VIEWARRAY=org.apache.log4j.SharedMemoryAppender log4j.appender.VIEWARRAY.MemorySize=5 MB log4j.appender.VIEWARRAY.File=TM1Views.txt log4j.appender.VIEWARRAY.MaxFileSize=5 MB log4j.appende...

Re: Monthly Poll 202105 - What's your security mode poison?

More options than you can shake a stick at! For me as a consultant, the answer is "It depends..." For offsite development, we use mode 1 or 2. Mostly in production we use mode 3 as clients integrate with AD. Due to the price point of PA, only larger clients purchase PA and they are the clients who h...

Try change ASC to BASC

Order MDX

Re: ASCIIOUTPUT does not create output file

Another thing I like to do when I have a view I am not 100% certain of is to right-click, then Export as text Data. This lets you confirm the sets/members on each dimension and if you run the export, you should end up with data in a file per the view. Per the previous posts though, you will need to ...

Re: Automatic commit of data entry in TM1 Web sheets via PAW

Going for a wild swing here as I have not seen anything either but what comes to mind is the option to Commit immediately in the Manage Features on PAW. Possibly only for the cube viewer but cannot recall exactly.
Not in a position to get the exact name or test but HTH (or someone else can).

Re: PAfE: Refreshing Behaviour Issue

Have you got any volatile formulas in your workbook e.g. OFFSET?

Also found it critical to use the Wait() function when triggering any refreshes via VBA to ensure that the refresh has actually completed before moving on.

PAW Explorations after cube dimensionality changes

I recently had to "update" a few cubes with extra dimensions to meet some new business requirements. Anyone that has done this knows that it is a complete rebuild, with exports, updating rules, feeders, views, templates etc. etc. I was able to update all the views by editing the .vue files and addin...
