And you specified SessionTimeout="15m" - ensuring case is same?

Re: Average calculation using TI process

Why not create a C level, something like Average Periods, add the periods as children with a weighting of 1. You will then have an aggregate value and can count the number of children using ELISCOMP. Also, if you derive the number of periods first, your weighting could be 1/no. periods and then the ...

Awesome! Glad it worked out for you.

So much to learn on MDX still but it is really powerful stuff.

Re: ODBC Connections and locked / stalled threads

In days gone by when I had SQL doing something and we could not kill the process I set IdleConnectionTimeOutSeconds=5 in the TM1s.cfg and this more often than not released it. I have not looked at this one yet but may be of use: ODBCTimeoutInSeconds Not sure on the failure but I may have an undocume...

Re: MDX - Filtering members against multiple string values in a reference cube

Hi John, You could do this using the Generate() function by using the 3rd parameter to concatenate the members into a string. Once we have a string we can then use INSTR() to test if the member's attribute/lookup value matches to something in the string and keep if it does. My example is using Produ...

Re: Very slow performance in TI using ViewZeroOut function

Hi, Cannot see any need to use any of the ViewExtractSkip functions on a zero out. Making the sets static as you explained is always a good idea where the view is a datasource. Have you turned off logging or do you need it on? Anything that could be causing this like intercube feeders and other rules?

Re: Is it possible to open a PAW report in PAX?

You could conceivably take the MDX from the exploration widgets and reuse within PAfE but that is likely all. Attributes may need to be added separately or derived as calculated members, depending on what you were doing. No action buttons, selectors etc. You would need to redo in PAfE. These article...

Re: Calculated Zero Cells and Feeders

It would not make sense doing your DB() read on the same measure that you are feeding from as the left side of the feeder statement would always be non-zero cells (or previously valued which triggered a feeder but now zero). Testing via the DB() read would impact performance but the severity would b...

Hi SYPA,

On PAW 2.0.94 onwards you can migrate workbenches between Dev and Prod for example.

What version are you using?

Re: MDX analysis of what you are feeding

They were pretty clear when asked that v12 on premise would not re-introduce any of the functionality that v12 containerised was removing... I hear you but cannot fathom right now how we would not need to save cubes back to the filesystem to commit changes to disk in a non-containerised environment.

Re: MDX analysis of what you are feeding

Unfortunately not, but with the announcement of V12 for on-premise, I do wonder what we were told would not be available, will now be available again as we would not be running containerized, would have access to the filesystem etc. SaveDataAll, AsciiOutput, possibly logging remains? Some further qu...

In your VBA code, could you not set the cells you are updating to Dirty using the .Dirty method?
This should force a recalculation of the cells next time the sheet is calculated.
