Re: Slow Login in Architect

Anything suspicious in your tm1admsrv log files? May be worthwhile adding some additional loggers in your tm1s-log.properties to see if there is anything untoward going on e.g. log4j.logger.TM1.Server.Network=DEBUG, STATS log4j.appender.STATS=org.apache.log4j.SharedMemoryAppender log4j.appender.STAT...

Re: Slow Login in Architect

Is there a difference when you use the server name vs the IP address? Have had numerous issues when the DNS is fritzed - it takes forever to connect the dots.

Re: Method for handling Rules for Actuals/Forecast periods

In terms of data reservations vs cell security, I would go with cell security as it would be more flexible to code via rules/TI. We have models where we have Stages and set groups to various stages in the process. Based on the stage, cell security blocks/allows input. For a model I am currently busy...

My interpretation of the video was that it was running iterations and based on previous iterations was estimating remaining time - not a real-time estimate.

Re: Ending Balance in Period Rollup

You could look at adding an attribute to your period dimension e.g. NonCumulativePeriod and set it to the underlying month that it should read from i.e. Q1 would read from Mar. A rule could then be written to derive from the NonCumulativePeriod when the Period is at a C level.

I found the Guideline document a while back but unfortunately cannot find the original link to point you too. It has some useful information and is worth the read.
Hope this helps.

Re: Upgrade PAW from 2.0.4 to 2.0.6

Its hard to say exactly but heres what I would do roughly 1. Run backup script from scripts directory to create zip backup of PAW content stores 2. Backup paw.env file 3. Stop paw services from stop script 3. Run clean script 4. Copy paw.env file back to configuration folder of new install 5. run s...

Re: PAW Docker image Error

You mention space on your C: drive but the screenshot looks like you are installing to D: Remember that the extract will take up a lot a space (close to 20Gb I think when I last installed). It then needs to copy the images to Docker which will duplicate and consume more space. Watch your space caref...

Re: calculating WTD, YTD and QTD with rules

I will 3rd that in David's absence. I had a sales performance model at daily level using all sorts of rules to do the same "rollups". Feeding was an absolute nightmare as a sale on 1 Jan had to effectively feed into the rest of the year to ensure that WTD, MTD, YTD were adequately fed. Short of it i...

Re: Upgrade PAW from 2.0.4 to 2.0.6

I have something to share on this finally. I had a nice working version 30 and thought I should upgrade to version 39 to take advantage of the bugs fixes and enhancements. Keep in mind that this is on a dev environment and I did not bother with backing up or restoring and of the cruft I had put toge...

Re: TM1 Subset Disappears?

Could be that the window is off the viewable area of the screen.
Try using the Windows key + the arrow keys to bring it back into view - you may need to repeat directions to get it back.
This often happens after you have had another monitor connected.

Re: Drill-through to a cube view

I normally copy the ReturnViewHandle below the generated section then go to the data source and set to none.

I generally only need the parameters so that I can build and assign the view in Prolog. No need for Metadata and data. YMMV

Re: Active Report in TM1web

I normally start an active form by identifying what drives the results. In your case, you need to decide which measures drive it i.e. show the row if one-sided is non-zero, show if two-sided is non-zero etc. Based on the screenshot, the activeform will show a row if any of the columns has a non-zero...

Re: Tools to rename user folder in PA

A fairly quick low-tech way may be to use the command prompt and Excel: Open the command prompt, cd to your TM1 data folder then do: DIR *. /b >directories.txt - open the resulting txt file in Excel - remove non-user folders, sort if necessary to aid checking - add a formula in column B to transform...
