please see my edit: I would be happy with just a general example on how to filter out an element.
Something of the equivalent of an sql syntax of:

and left (abc,1) != '2'
SUBST(!abc,1,1) @= '2'

Re: TM1 rule subst with dimension element

It's really the same case. The only difference is that I have another 3 letters as my dimension name. The numbers and the structure and the formula I used is the same. Really? No one is going to be able to help you diagnose a syntax error without seeing the exact offending code. I guess you really ...

Re: TM1 rule subst with dimension element

To get help you're going to need to provide the actual offending code instead of pseudo code.

Re: LOGOUTPUT to separate log file

Hi Tomok, Try to play with the below code adding it to tm1-log.properties file: log4j.logger.TM1.TILogOutput=DEBUG, Debug_LogOutput log4j.appender.Debug_LogOutput=org.apache.log4j.SharedMemoryAppender log4j.additivity.TM1.TILogOutput=false log4j.appender.Debug_LogOutput.File=TI.log log4j.appender.D...

LOGOUTPUT to separate log file

I use the LOGOUTOPUT command in a number of my TI processes to write out things when users run processes so I have a history of who runs what and the parameters they supplied, as well as actions taken. Is it possible to have those messages written to a separate file (via settings in the tm1slog.prop...

Re: c# and Tm1

i thought the c++ api is still active in development It most definitely isn't and hasn't been updated in quite a few years. The only reason it is still a part of Planning Analytics is because Architect and Perspectives are built on top of it. Perspectives already has a replacement in PAFE. Architec...

Re: MDX Filtering on StrMember

Sorry misread that! You want to get the attribute value for Oct-2019! How about? FILTER({TM1FILTERBYLEVEL({TM1SUBSETALL([Periods-Months])}, 0)}, [Periods-Months].[TM1 Last Day Serial Date] >= StrToMember("[Periods-Months].[" +[Global Variables].([Global Values].[Value],[Global Variables].[LACT])+ "...

Re: MDX Filtering on StrMember

Hi Tomok, it would be easier if the global value was numeric, but how about: FILTER({TM1FILTERBYLEVEL({TM1SUBSETALL([Periods-Months])}, 0)}, [Periods-Months].[TM1 Last Day Serial Date] >= strtovalue([Global Variables].([Global Values].[Value],[Global Variables].[LACT]))) regards, mark Thanks for th...

MDX Filtering on StrMember

I’m looking for a complete MDX solution for a filtered subset based on an attribute, with the kicker that the attribute is of an element represented by a string value in a cube. I have a time dimension, called Periods-Months, and in that dimension I have an attribute called “TM1 Last Day Serial Date...

Re: c# and Tm1

i'm searching for a .NET Wrapper for the TM1 API (or is there a better way), i want to create some programs around TM1 but i really can't find any actual things at google. There is a better way. It's called the REST API. You would be crazy to create programs around a dying API, which the legacy TM1...

Re: Optimize While

What type of allocation are you doing to come up with the Parque value to post? Is it a proportional spread based on some other amount in the cube? There is a TI function called CellPutProportionalSpread that can do this for you and it is going to be light years faster then looping through a dimensi...

Thanks tomok for your help, I may not have the privilege on the server machine but why I can't export to my own desktop either?
You can't output to your own desktop because TI processes run on the server, not your local machine. Think about it......

Re: Problem with ASCIIOUTPUT

The user ID that your TM1 Server service runs under has to have the necessary security privileges on the server to be able to create and edit files in order to use ASCIIOUTPUT. I'm not talking about TM1 security, I mean the Windows security for the actual server machine.

You're trying to write to a floppy disk on the server?????? A: is usually reserved for a floppy disk drive.

Stop the server
Delete the employees.cub file
Rename the employees.cub$ to employees.cub
Restart the server

Are the above steps the correct way to resolve this?

Maren
Yes, but take a backup first to be safe.

Re: access control objects

As an admin go into the }processsecurity cube and find that TI process - then put READ in the cell that corresponds with a security group that the user belongs to. You can also right click on processes and go to security that way for the same purpose. Did you perform these steps? User cannot execut...

Re: MDX "JOIN"

I am talking about an INNER JOIN. I have two dimensions, one with all the accounts in the GL and one with only a few accounts. I want an MDX that will create a subset on the all accounts dimension of only the elements that exist in both dimensions. Thanks for the ideas. I'll test them out tomorrow.
