Hi Expert,

I have an active Form with a Rebuild Sheet Button.
When I added the websheet in Workspace the Button does not work.
Did you build the Active Form in PAX or Perspectives? If Perspectives, have you run the utility that converts the action button to work in Planning Analytics?

Re: TM1 Perspective Vs Pax

Does anyone know if IBM planning to ditch/not support perspectives in the near future? Your guess is as good as mine but let me point out that Perspectives is based on the legacy API and PAX is based on the REST API/MDX, AKA, the future direction. How long do you think they will continue to support...

Re: Adding dimensions in}Securityoverlayglobal cubes manually

Is their any way of inserting dimension name in place of 1 's and 0's. That's what the 0's and 1's are for. O means do not include the dimension and 1 means include it. This is based on the dimension order in the cube you are creating the }Security overlay on. You can't include dimensions that are ...

Re: display Dimension dialog box from TI process

Hello, Q 1) I want to create an action button to invoke a TI that takes an Element name as an argument. Can we create this form with action button from Architect or we need Perspective ? Q 2) Lets say we have a Dimension named Product and one of the element in it is Electronics. Can we display prod...

Re: TI summary display

Now i am only unable to get the start time on the time i click the run button. You could always pass the start time as a parameter of the TI process that pulls from a cell in Excel with the NOW function but why bother when you can get the start time in the Prolog of the process like you are current...

But Steve In the video link i have provided they have done it i don't know how using RestAPI or VBA or through any other function. I watched the video and they did not present a running progress bar or any other visual timer. What I saw is a cell that showed the running time of a TI process that pr...

Re: The TM1Web service parameter was not specified or is not one of the configured locations

IBM has very specific and detailed instructions on their web site for where the various files should be placed on your Cognos Analytics and Cognos Gateway (if you have one) servers. Did you follow them to the letter? If you did and it still doesn't work I recommend you contact IBM Support and have t...

Re: Uploading a TM1 Application through the REST API

I'm pretty sure that there aren't any functions in the REST API library for publishing Excel workbooks to the Application tree. I could be wrong. However, you don't have to be an Administrator per se to publish a workbook, you just have to have Admin rights to the spot in the application tree where ...

Re: Access denied to cells for non admin users in TI Logs

Can anyone help me out. Thanks in advance.. All I can tell you is if the users can't see and/or change a value in the cube while an admin can then the user does not have adequate security to do so. I have no idea why because I know nothing about your models, security groups, and how the particular ...

Re: TI - Add new element in alphabetical order under consolidation

Sheesh this ran a little off topic. But while I'm here ... DimensionSortOrder sets properties for a dimension; the dimension is not actually sorted until it is saved on the server. You don't need a SaveDataAll or for that matter CubeSaveData('}DimensionProperties') What the documentation is saying,...

Re: Cognos Analytics 11.0.13

If the question was "The IBM install instructions aren't very good, does anybody else have a better set?" would you still have been as negative? Actually, no. It would indicate that the poster had made at least some attempt to find it on his own. If you look back at his posting history he asks a lo...

Re: Days360 Tm1

How do you workout the number of full months between jan 10 2016 to jan 9 2021 . Divide the number of days between jan 10 2016 and jan 9 2021 by 30.4 and truncate the remainder. That integer amount will be the number of full months. This will work as long as the number of years between the two date...

Re: calculating WTD, YTD and QTD with rules

What is the best way to calculate this in TM1 cube. Here's your simple answer. Don't. Time period calculations should almost always be done with a hierarchy in the Time dimension and letting the consolidation feature in TM1 take care of it. It will perform light years faster than a rule and you won...

Re: SwapAliaswithPrincipalName old name in sub and vue files

I'm pretty sure that the function SwapAliaswithPrincipalName is not smart enough to cycle through all your views and subsets and change them. All it does it update the dimension. You're on your own to figure out the best way to update the .sub and .vue files.
