Re: Question about time dimension

Is this supposed to be a trick question? The first dimension has 14 periods while the second one has only 12. Also, following the YTD logic the second dimension is missing 13-YTD.

Re: Tm1 Action button - call Macro

IIf you are using Perspectives then you can write calls using the old API but it is much much more involved. You may find some good material with some googluck but I don't think the code is widely shared due to the level of effort required to produce it. With all due respect this is a really bad id...

Re: "Lock" Actual Data in a forecast application

Element security is the most common way but if you want to protect Actuals from everything, including Admins and TI processes, then you can LOCK it. Open the dimension, select Actuals, right-click and select Security, Lock. Now no one will be able to change Actuals. BTW, you can also lock and unlock...

Re: TM1 - disabling logs doesn’t work

Any particular reason why you are not using the built-in CubeSetLogChanges function in your TI?

cellputs (no, cubeproperties, vcube, logging)
Is this literally your code? It's not going to work because anything that is not a variable would need to have apostrophes and you have a wrong cube name.

Code: Select all

cellputs ('no', '}cubeproperties', vcube,  'logging');

Re: Create elements based on a cubeview

When a cube view is used as a data source you get one record (line) for every intersection in the view. That's why you get separate records for DimName, Element, Parent, etc. Like Steve mentioned, if you want all of these to be in the same record you have to set up your view to pull just one of them...

Re: Retrieving a list of users in Tm1

Let me start by saying I don't have an answer for you, sorry. However, the source for what you want is in a cube, }tp_application_state}{XXXXXXX}. The XXXXXX will be replaced by a key number and that is going to be unique to your application. This cube has, among other things: State - the state of t...

Dynamic Server Name

We just went to the IBM Cloud a month ago and we are running across an issue with the dynamic server name formulas we use to keep from having to edit reports and republish every time we migrate up the chain. The formula is like this: In column A I have the name of one of our servers and in column B ...

vVAR = 'CellGETN(Value)';
What is this formula? The CellGETN formula needs one parameter for the cube name, and one parameter for each dimension in the cube specifying an element from that dimension. This thing you have does nothing.

Re: Planning Analytics Local - SAP BW data source using Cognos Integration server (CIS)

As TM1 ignore spaces and considers 'Act Vs Bud' to be equivalent to 'ActVsBud', I have problem to load BW metadata where there are elements with spaces which TM1 ignore so we have 2 identical elements in the dimension. I don't see how it is possible to have 2 identical elements in TM1. If you have ...

Re: Data Transfer Issue

If you zero-suppress a view on this cube and the data disappears it means the rule calculated values are not fed properly. You need to go back and re-evaluate the feeders you have in this cube and fix them so that all rule calculated amounts are fed. Then you will be able to use a zero-suppressed vi...

Re: How to sort by value column in perspectives sheet

In which case do you know how I would access the code behind the report I made in Perspectives in order to add the MDX rule? Assuming this is an active form report, which it would have to be in order to filter like you want, the MDX statement would go in the TM1RPTROW formula for the Brand dimension.

MDX cannot be used in a rule. You would use this in your report.

now i dont find a way to ask in the rule if the element is under "Nicht Dienst überlassene rMA" or under "Dienstüberlassene rMA".
Research the rule functions ELPAR and ELISANC. Either of these will work. BTW, collage is a type of art.

Sounds suspiciously to me like you didn't perform a SaveData, to flush all the in memory values to disk, before copying the files from Prod to Dev OR you copied into a folder on DEV that was not empty beforehand. I can think of no other reason why they wouldn't match.

Re: Changing constant value with effective date

Like anything in TM1, there are probably a dozen or more ways to do it. The obvious choice is rules but I wouldn’t rule out a TI process because that is going to be the easiest to maintain and you won’t need feeders. In the form that has the available beds data you could have an action button the ma...

You realize, of course, that a date in Excel is a number so when passing it to a TI process it is g...

Re: Passing values from excel to TI

Have you tried anything yet? Try changing the formatting of the cell in Excel and see what it does. Don't always run to someone else for help. Be inquisitive and try things. It's the only way you are going to learn,
