Re: JAVA Extension

Where did you get this information? Java Extension work in PA Yes, they do not expand more as the Architect, Perfomance Modeller, cpp api, and other. But all this products still work. Hi, this was one of the statements made by IBM TM1 product management at the Planning Analytics TM1 User Day 2019 i...

Re: Help with improving a rule

You mentioned another alternative to this using Dimensions. What did you mean? Andrea Hi Andrea, something like that: I would delete the "opening balance" elements from the account dimension and create a separate dimension for it. This has the advantage that the account dimension becomes smaller. I...

Re: SID in Dimension and fact

I would also use Product code as the principal name but add an alias for the SID. Data could be loaded using the SID or Product code and users see the Product code by "default" (depends on your sets of course). I would do that a little differently. For me it looks like the SID is a PrimeryKey with ...

The fact should join with dimension to get the code in a sql view for load

Re: SID in Dimension and fact

so should my element on dimension have the sid as the key ? Hi, I strongly recommend to use the product code as technical element name. The users want to make reports on the products later. If they don't see the product code/name but an artificially generated ID, this won't help them or makes it ha...

Re: Help with improving a rule

Re: High Availability PA server

Hi, i don't think that's possible with the current TM1 technology. The data is stored in RAM. So the "main server" would be permanently busy "somehow" exporting the data to other servers. But when data is read, no data can be written in the cell at that moment and vice versa. This data exchange can ...

Hi Orlando,

but how do you get the other serial number?

Maren
Hi Maren,

ah - now've got you.

SerialStart is stored in a cube via TI - so yes it's a lookup cube

nSerial = now();
CellPutN(nSerial, sCube, sElem, 'SerialStart');

SerialAct is a rule

['SerialAct'] = now();

Interesting, how do you get the serial date to the decimal place in the rule?

Do you have a lookup table for this?

Maren
Hi Maren,

no lookup table - it's all done by tm1

['SerialAct'] = now();

Re: Calculate minutes

Hello, everyone, thanks for the many answers, that was a neat brain bug. That's what i do now: From the start date I get the serial number (e.g. 22109,484490741) and write it into the database Via rule I then get the current serial number (eg. 22109,492106481) Then I calculate ['minutes'] = ['actSer...

Calculate minutes

Hi! I'm having a major brain bug right now. I'd like to use rules to calculate minutes. If I start with a timestamp like 202007101030 (value in cube) as base and create a new timestamp e.g. 202007101059 and subtract the difference, then the 29 minutes are calculated correctly. If the clock jumps to ...

Re: Turbo Integrator - Data tab dont run?

I got the output right if i convert it with StringEx, i thought stringex is just for formatting and the normal convertion will keep all float values (may i'm wrong?) So your approch would be like this? sWert = NUMBERTOSTRINGEX(Wert,'#.##############', ',','.'); IF(Wert <> 1); ASCIIOutput(logPath , ...

Re: Turbo Integrator - Data tab dont run?

Prolog: ViewSuppressZeroesSet( cCube, 'tmpSchlüsselCheck_' | sRunID, 1 ); zeroSuppression is turned on - so the Wert<>1 gives you only the values that are eg 0.1 or 2 ...... you will not see the zero values sWert = NUMBERTOSTRINGEX(Wert,'#.##############', ',','.'); nWert = StringToNumber(sWert); I...

Hey, i got some more details, i made the check manually and compared it to the csv output from the TI Process. Seems to be ok, but the output Value thats get logged is '1'. Is there a function in tm1 which can check if the parameter value is numeric. here's my idea. Why don't you store the value in a cube (eg. Value_Input) per user. For example, the cube could have the dimensions }Client and Measure_Input. The elements for the input are created in the dimension Measur...
