Re: String to Date Conversion in TI - "S1000[Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-01861: literal does not match format string"

Generally speaking I would suggest if possible that you store the date as a numeric cell in TM1 and just format it to look like a date; generally that makes most things a lot easier. That being said since you currently have it as a string; I would start by converting your string to a number ( ParseD...

Re: Security in Planning Analytics Workspace

I believe workspace groups were introduced in 2.0.42 There is no configuration required to enable it; if you were on a version that included it you would see the options by default. And as Moby has highlighted, at the moment it is not linked to AD etc. The groups are created and exist just within Wo...

Re: Filter by Status - Tm1 Scorecarding

I must admit that I haven't looked at or used scorecards for quite a long time. However, if memory serves the "status" is just a measure in your cube - so you could have MDX subsets that filter your driver dimension for each possible status (e.g. 1 subset for Excellent, 1 for Poor etc.) then just ch...

Unable to select control objects as source in a TI
They have actually sorted this one now - not sure what release it came out in but you now have a drop down in the TI Data Source to swap between Control Objects or a Standard Object.

Re: PAW Synchronise Action Button parameters with Sheet Selections

So do I understand correctly that you then have to rebuild the 'synchronisation' bit of the selector widgets by making cube views refer to this }clients param dim with MDX subsets (i.e.filter the country list to whatever is in that cube for this user)? Yup, just saw the video. I love this approach,...

Re: Experience with PAW and its future prospects

Do you think that we can completely get away with TM1 architect for development and adopt PAW? What is its future prospects? Thanks! I will answer this question purely from the development point of view that you have asked. I honestly think that I could. I do the majority of my development directly...

Re: Cannot connect to PAW

Can you connect from the same machine that PAW is running on? Or try and do an ipconfig on the PAW server and then see if you can connect with the IP address rather than the server name. In power shell on the paw server run ./scripts/admintool.ps1 in the admin tool window that opens up; go to Status...

Re: Different calculation for same Elements

Although an element can exist in a single hierarchy/dimension with multiple parents; the element's primary key is its name - as such it cannot have different calculations for the same intersection (where the only difference is a different parent) - you can do it on other intersections; such as a dif...

Re: Local Backup

PA on demand is a different kettle of fish altogether; it is very much intended to handle individual smaller models - think of those large excel workbooks people might maintain on their own machines but having the ability to utilise PA functionality instead. There is the "Digital Pack" which is sort...

Before the process has finished; a chore etc has kicked off another process that has caused contention (often a savedatall function) which then means that all transactions from your Master Process and its Sub Processes have rolled back and then started again when it has a clean window to do so.

Re: PAW Synchronise Action Button parameters with Sheet Selections

There are a number of things that you can’t quite do with the synchronisation- such as what you have highlighted and another common one of selecting an element in 1 dimension; such as a Country Code in a country dimension and seeing its corresponding element selected in another dimension e.g all Sto...

Re: Subset linked to list and refresh on action button

If you select “1” after it shouldn’t be there do you at least get an error saying it’s not a valid selection?

If IBM mentioned it as a known defect did they give you a reference number for it?

Re: Subset linked to list and refresh on action button

A cells picklist should be re-evaluated every time you use it; so you shouldn’t see any values that are not in the linked subset or the value already in the cell.

Are you sure there isn’t still an old excel data validation list on the cell or something like that?

Re: Subset linked to list and refresh on action button

So this what I am understanding . Choose lease : Cell A4 ,A4 has the list of leases for example 1,2 and 3 and the source for this is a tm1 formula =DBRW("BoraBora:LeasePickListCube","clientname","Lease Review") The above stament reads from picklist with a subset linked to it . Now i pick lease no 1...

Re: Subset linked to list and refresh on action button

This is the sort of task where I often find it easier to bring all of the work inside of TM1. You can create an additional cube with just 2 dimensions - if multiple users work in the sheet at the same time then the first dimension should be }Clients otherwise a driver dimension with 1 element will d...

Re: PAW Installation unresponsive

You mentioned checking the paw script but did you run it with any commands? Does running ./scripts/paw.ps1 -stop work or does that hang as well?

If it works I would suggest doing a -stop and then a -start to just do a restart.

Re: Element Security - Hide Element in Dimension in a specific Cube

This is what the }CellSecurity cubes are for. It can't "hide" the element like the }ElementSecurity setup does but it will return 0 for the version in the cubes where you have restricted it. This is the option that would work best for the older interfaces. If you are using the newer interfaces and ...
