Re: TM1 to PA Upgrade - Web Report Not Showing Last Line

Insert a few extra rows under the active form area and add a border to the cells a few rows down then reupload the sheet and it will be fine.

Re: PAW visualization feature

That’s just a case of selecting a given cell from an existing cube view and right click - Add to Sheet. Or similar wording to that effect.

and the value in tm1 web view looks in blue color. Is the user using a sandbox ? no he is not using any sand box.test_process1.PNG The blue colour means that the user is using a sandbox. This could either be a manually created and selected sandbox - or very likely the user has the Personal Workspace...

Re: access control objects

As an admin go into the }processsecurity cube and find that TI process - then put READ in the cell that corresponds with a security group that the user belongs to.
You can also right click on processes and go to security that way for the same purpose.

Re: RunProcess and Process Ends msg

I handle this by having the master process create a text file in a folder and pass the name of that file to the sub process (doing this for ever sub process it runs.) The last line of the sub process deletes the file. At the end of the master process it loops the folder counting the files that exist...

Re: How to make a server instance available in Tm1 web

It sounds like you have used the server parameter in the web config file. If you remove it (leave it blank) then the drop down box will appear. You will need to restart the web service after changing the config file.

Re: loading fields from csv without knowing the type of value

You could completely automate this but it becomes risky in case the CSV comes in as complete garbage one time and you could end up with it creating the measures etc anyway. But create a process to handle however many columns you expect plus an extra 10 or so (all set as string - other) Have a new pr...

If that element is not at the lowest level then should i back up the data . I am renaming Region 1. Will I be able to delete Region1 with out deleting the customer data under it ? So hierarchy is like All Regions-> Region 1 ->Agency ->Customer Numeric data is stored at the lowest level and consolid...

Re: PA Workspace Conditional Formatting Leaf level

Some people on here may be horrified by the thought of this but I have been able to apply pretty much any formatting I want by adding additional measure elements to the cube and applying rules to those elements - in this case I would make it 0 if either the condition is achieved or it’s not n-level....

Re: PAW Button does not give RUN Process option

To add to Wim's point - the ability to run processes from buttons in Workspace only got added in PAW 39 which was released in March. In earlier versions you will still need to add an action button to a websheet via PAX and then load that into your PAW book. https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecente...

Re: Paw - Synchronise Sandboxes

Hi, Done a quick test myself and it seems ok - I must admit that sandboxes are something that haven't often been used in models I have developed/worked on - the functionality seems ok in my set up that I have at the moment though. What version of PA and PAW are you on? Also does the synchronisation ...

Re: How to Save MDX based Subset for Clone Dimension

Have a TI process loop through the subsets in the source dimension. For each subset use the MDXGet functionality; if it returns something then use scan/substring to replace the dim name references (1 subset might reference it multiple times) then create subset in the target with a createbymdx. If th...

Re: PAW Cannot see the dimension or processes

You need to be defined as a modeler or administrator in Workspace. This is above and beyond and security set in tm1 for the model. The workspace administrator who set you up can do this.

Re: ODBO Process

Bit difficult to sort this kind of thing out without access to the system and a bit of trial and error. But one “workaround” solution would be that if your account dimension is always a certain number of characters then to use a substring which feeds the cellputn. This can also work if it’s not a se...

Re: Copy Workspace BOOK

If you are an admin in workspace you should have access to the “Lifecycle Management Tool”; this allows you to transfer workspace books between environments.
If you have a really old version of workspace local it might not be there but I think it’s been around for well over a year now.

Re: ODBO Process

It just sounds like your source query is picking up the alias and you only want it to be the element name.

You can change the statement to bring only the element name or you can change the process so that it works out which part is code and which part is the name.

Re: PAW Replace Columns with Element Attributes

I think I have misunderstood your issue. As Lotsa has pointed out are you just wanting to essentially show an element attributes cube on its own? I thought you wanted to show an attribute (or some attributes) for a dimension that is part of a cube (a non control cube) if that was the case you can ju...
