Re: Planning Analytics / Cognos Analytics Dependency

Hi,

In short, you need CA 11.0.0.0 or future fix packs
You can get information about product compatibility here: https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/co ... oduct.html
In your case, you should select PA local, "Supported software" tab, and look for "Cognos" there.

Re: Input in a cube with continuous time dimension

Hi Wim, There is a hierarchy for the months (01 for January is the sum of 2018_01, 2018_02, 2018_03 , and so on). Did you mean "is the sum of 2018_01, 2019_01, 2020_01 , and so on"? I also find it confusing to see that invalid cells are in fact C-level cells: Interesting bug, I've managed to reprodu...

Re: TM1 - From Dropdown - Data Validation

Hi,
If I understand you right, you need a dynamic/cascading picklist.

They are well discussed and described here:

Bedrock And Github vs Other Options

@Admins , could you please split this topic to 2 topics: "CellPutN erase other elements value" and "I've also have my own processes"? There is still an unanswered question by OP, and it is drowned by bedrock's discussion. (My post is also to be moved to another topic, please ;) ) I know that everyb...

Re: How to clean up TM1 | server_name | Security | Client/Groups

Hello, That's rather strange, if you have IntegratedSecurityMode=5 and the auditor asks you screenshots from TM1, not from Cognos BI Administration. Nothing is deleted from TM1 automatically. You can at least have data on deleted users in a cube with }clients dimension. With ISM=5, the clients and t...

Re: TM1 Authentication with Cognos BI

Hi,
I assume that TM1 and Cognos are on different servers.
Anyway, you should add your Cognos server to 'local intranet' list in IE. With ISM=5, Architect opens a mini-IE window to authenticate (your white window), and it's blocked as pop-up window by IE

Re: Dynamic Subset Based on Attribute of Another Dimension

Hi all,

Such linked Dynamic subsets, being both in title, work fine in PAW. Just checked it on 2.0.9, 2.0.52.
I don't know when it was introduced, but I guess that this works from the beginning of PAW life.

Re: Turbo Integrator - Decativate Feeder evaluation while process runs

Hi,

It's a proven practice to turn off the rule while process runs:
Prolog: RuleLoadFromFile (cCube, cDummyEmptyRuleFile);
Epilog: RuleLoadFromFile (cCube, '');

Re: TM1ELLIST syntax to get alias

I've never used it with subsets, only with MDXes. The correct syntax is:

Code: Select all

=TM1ELLIST("Server:Dimension";;;"Alias";;"MDX";;)
You should first try to replace your commas with ";"

Re: TM1ELLIST syntax to get alias

Hi,

There was an issue in early PAX and PA versions with aliases in TM1ELLIST, which was corrected. What are your PAX/PAW/PA versions?

Re: STR(Num, len, dec) with only one argument

I don't think this is really a documentation mistake. The information about those "not specified" parameters appeared in PA (comparing to TM1 10.2.2 doc), and supposedly with 2.0.5 version ("The behavior of the STR function has been updated. This may cause a behavior change in usage depending on whi...

Answer from IBM:
IBM wrote:All parameters to STR are required. You cannot omit any parameters or pass empty parameter values.
The documentation will be updated shortly with this clarification.

Re: Experience with PAW and its future prospects

Hello! IMHO: PAW has many disadvantages, but the Hierarchies, which you cannot use in Architect, outweigh them all. Rule/TI editors are, I can say, "handy" now. Ctrl+space is smart enough now to let me write a rule without touching a mouse. You can create really useful dashboards: with input cubes, ...

I've found error in your command line: "tm1import" works only with SPSS versions <=17 (and my script also ;) )

You need to use tm1odataimport: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgece ... slots.html

Re: How run a SPSS Modeler stream from Tm1 process

I really didn't work closely with clemb arguments :) Try to add this script in the Stream (Tools, Stream Properties, Execution) and execute just "clemb -execute -stream "E:\SPSS TM1 Demo.str"" stream = modeler.script.stream(); node = stream.findByID("Id_of_your_TM1_Source_Node"); node.setPropertyVal...
