Since I have moved into the Finance dept (Once upon a time I used to be in I.T.),
I.T. would like to give my domain account just enough security to RDP to the TM1 server and:-
- restart tm1 services
- restart IIS
- see tm1sd.exe in task mgr
- set folder permissions
- edit scripts ie: *.bat, *.vbs for scheduled tasks
but NOT able to re-boot windows.
have anyone made similar arrangement(s) like this with I.T. with
successful results or other solution(s) !?
Thanks

Re: Access Level to TM1 box
I have survived with similar restrictions in the past.
It is not that bad. I was able to successfully do almost all the tasks for my position.
IT would do monthly maintenance and that would be only time the machine would be re-booted.
In an emergency situation, I could just email IT to re-boot.
What reservations do you have?

Thanks for your reply,
I don't have any reservations - It's just that I.T. is sitting on the fence because with group policy, to disable only the windows re-boot for my profile is either proving to be difficult or politically not sound
