Just testing a new install of 9.4 and finding a few quirks.
Running it without any users to start with, just updated data and our standard set of chores triggered by tm1choreexecute/windows scheduler as we do currently.
Noticed that some of the chores run from the scheduler don't kick off at all, just coming up with this error
1304 ERROR 2009-12-11 09:02:00.522 TM1.ClientMessage Could not read message header.
2796 ERROR 2009-12-11 09:04:00.489 TM1.ClientMessage Could not read message header.
1172 ERROR 2009-12-11 09:06:00.471 TM1.ClientMessage Could not read message header.
1928 ERROR 2009-12-11 09:10:54.700 TM1.ClientMessage Could not read message header.
620 ERROR 2009-12-11 09:11:06.231 TM1.ClientMessage Could not read message header.
though if you run the chore manually through the scheduler it seems to work fine. Strangely not all the chores behave this way, though can't find out why.
What is the main problem though is that after a while the server becomes unresponsive, tm1top won't connect and although you can still see the server you can't connect through the client. Strangely if you look at the server log it still seems to be running internal chores ...
So this results in a restart of the server. Not really a good sign in testing when you have dodgy servers before you even involve the users!
I've tried my original tm1choreexecute that I got off Applix many moons ago, and I've also tried the updated version that is on the Helpful links page, both seem to have the same issue.
Running 9.4 MR1 FP1 32 bit server on a 64 bit machine
Of course the simple option would be just to reactivate all the chores in TM1 but I do like the flexibility of external scheduling plus I don't like having to reschedule them all twice a year.
Anyone else have similar issues?

Re: tm1choreexecute & 9.4
I don't know if its just me, but 9.4 seems pretty flakey. Running on an empty server with chores that have run okay for years on Production server. However on 9.4 overnight the server restarts itself 3-4 times and then becomes unresponsive int he morning, with no explanation.
Okay, guess I need to switch all the chores to internal ones again, which I really didn't want to do

Re: tm1choreexecute & 9.4
I have used TM1ProcessExecute.exe extensively with 9.4.1 to trigger processes externally when a confirmation file arrives in the data source directory. There haven't been any stability issues as far as I'm aware. Haven't used the ChoreExecute exe though.
