TM1 instance without TI (TM1 REST API only)

With TM1 REST API becoming more and more popular, I was wondering if anybody ever created a model using only the TM1 REST API without any TI ? And what about only using TM1py ?

Yes, I created some of my demo models using the TM1 REST API only.

And I use the TM1 REST API and TM1py a lot in my projects for integrations, calculations, validations and automation.
