The SSL break and TM1Top

Post by PavoGa »

Has anyone had trouble getting TM1Top to work with the new IBM SSL certificates? I have been unable to get it to work. No problem with Ops Console.

"Could not connect to server "tm1instance" on admin host "servername"

Looks like our problems are all over the place. Got VMs connecting with no problem, Perspectives connects with no problem on a client laptop, but on the same client, Architect will display the instances and not allow a login (click on the instance, get a spinning circle for a few seconds, then nothing).

We're getting all the other problems straightened out and maybe that will correct the TM1Top issue. I was hoping it was a simple issue.

We got it going. While not personally involved, one of the other developers kept fiddling with it and got it going. These two links were reported as being helpful:

I have not even looked at them, so I cannot comment on the content.

I did this at the weekend, Change the path to where your new certificates are;

we've moved to V2 certificates and had to add this line to the tm1top.ini file

AdminSvrSSLCertAuthority=\\ServerName\TM1SSL\SSLCertificates\tm1ca_v2.pem

If the certificates are in a "new" folder then you'll have to point to them even if they're not the v2 ones

Best of Luck
Cheers
