Job Description A challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Senior level Programmer Analyst to work on mission critical business systems.

Manager’s comments - The ideal candidate would have TM1 and Cognos Planning with maybe some Cognos BI splashed in. Need a lead level person who can teach Cognos TM1 to others

This role will be part of a Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Center of Excellence (COE) and will be the primary BI developer supporting QTL. Responsibilities include: designing and developing BI solutions, providing technical and analytical guidance and support to the business and COE, researching new tool applications to meet business needs, documenting project deliverables and procedures, and mentoring other team members.
Skills/Experience The ideal candidate should have:
- 5+ years of BI and Data Warehousing lifecycle experience specifically with COGNOS TM1.
- 3+ years experience using Cognos and experience with one or more of the following: COGNOS Planning, COGNOS 8.x including Report Studio, Query Studio, Metrics Studio, Event Studio, Access Manager, Portal Administration, Server Administration, Content Administration.
- Experience with Cognos SDK.
- Oracle DBMS experience, with experience in PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL Navigator, or Toad.
- Knowledge of data and data manipulation techniques
- Relational/Star Schema modeling and design
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Tuning of the supporting queries and report build processes to improve end-user access response times.
- Validating accuracy of generated report to reliable source data including variance to prior data
- Solid Interpersonal skills

Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in a technically oriented field (i.e. Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related) or equivalent experience.
