Pax - Dimension panel grey banner

Post by Mithun.Mistry1103 »

Hello

Not sure if this can be classed as a bug or a general.
What I have seen in Pax 2.0.57, the dimension panel across the top, there is a grey banner covering top half of the dimension names right across the screen. When I try to read dimension names so I can make my selections, I can only see the bottom half of the names.

I have tried uninstall and installs, doesnt make a difference, the settings are fine, and it's only one person that's impacted so far.

Does anyone have any ideas or anyone come across such issue?

Thank you

You could try going to your General Excel Options and setting Optimize for compatibility. I think I needed to do this previously.

Thank you for your time. I have tried that and it's already in compatibility mode and makes no difference.

Thank you

I have seen this a few times.
We were able to fix the issue by trying the different display resolution options in your windows display settings.

@jorelb

Thank you for your fix. It's worked! thank you. Do we know why that has had an impact, especially if its one out of many users.

Any chance of some detail on this? Maybe a screen shot of what the failure looked like and which resolutions worked and which didn't?

So I took this pic from Google and tried to sketch to how it looks officially.

The grey banner taking out half of the dimension names.

The resolutions depend on your monitor, though what we did was we moved away from recommended and chose 1920 x 1080 and then went back to recommended and then scale, we changed from 225% to 175% and played about to what suits.

and when we went back to PAx, it was sorted. So I think it worked more like a kick than anything else.

Thank you

We see this happen when Microsoft updates are pushed on existing setups with certain builds.
However, we also have seen this on new installs but not as often with existing setups.
