Hi,
According to these links, data encryption at rest is now supported in PA local.

http://octanesolutions.com.au/products/ ... analytics/
Did anybody try it? Or at least can someone point me in the right direction in terms of IBM documentation as I can't find it
I could only find this link below, and IBM Cloud Support also confirmed it was not supported on the Cloud:

Thank you!

Re: Data encryption at rest with PA local v 2.0.3
I raised this with IBM in Feb 17 about PA Local 2.0 and received nothing of use. I suspect that the FIPSOperationMode parameter may be relevant but (again) the documentation is of no help.

hi
what I heard back from IBM is that data encryption at rest is not available by any tool that IBM provides
FIPSOperationMode is related to the current SSL/TLS configuration, so it is not related anyhow to data encryption at rest

If you want to vote for it, somebody just opened an enhancement request.

Planning Analytics 2.0.4 - February 16, 2018
TM1 Server
IBM Planning Analytics Local release 2.0.4 and the cloud release of IBM Planning Analytics 2.0.4 includes the following features for IBM TM1 Server version 11.2.0.
Encryption at rest
TM1 Server uses a two-tier key management system to encrypt and decrypt server data. TM1 APIs enable and disable data encryption. With the TM1 Server command line utility, you can perform master key rotations for added security. And, if you need to, you can restore files by using the TM1Crypt utility. For more information, see the TM1 Server data encryption ( https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgece ... ption.html ) in the Planning Analytics Installation and Configuration documentation.
Note
Encryption is not supported for IBM Planning Analytics on cloud. Encryption is available for Planning Analytics Local customers only. Encryption is not supported on a TM1 Server that is using replication and sync. Blobs are excluded from server artifacts that are encrypted by encryption at rest.

Finally!
Must have a look at how they've done it.
