Post by vlad.stepanov »

Hi to all TM1 specialists that are looking for a contract opportunity.

I am currently looking for a TM1 Developer for my client, an award winning Global Bank based in Canary Wharf.
They need someone to start ASAP initially for 6 months and they are ready to pay up to £550 per day.

What are they looking for?
  • At least 4 years of commercial experience as a TM1 Developer
Up to date with the latest TM1 products & systems
If this is something you would definitely entertain, please send me your CV to vlad.stepanov@reedglobal.com

So true.
Already had a candidate interviewing with the client and he was not keen on the Applix either.
What is the actual issue with the Applix? Why you(TM1 PROs) don't like it?

Because Applix doesn't exist and hasn't existed for a while.

As I understand that the TM1 system was published by Applix Inc. and then Cognos acquired it and have rebranded the products, thus the systems were named Cognos TM1 and then IBM acquired Cognos....so logically it is IBM Cognos TM1?
TM1 is still TM1...isn't it? Even though it could be named Applix, Cognos or IBM.

It would be like saying a new Think Pad is an IBM Think Pad even though Lenovo has owned the brand for a while. It has nothing to do with re-branding. Applix simply no longer exists. So you can continue to call it that if you want but you look out of date and a little daft.

Wasn't around the recruitment domain back then :) but thanks for letting me know.

Where would I more likely find TM1 specialists? Anywhere particular except the job boards, job ads, LinkedIn, sourcing and etc.

Any help or guidance is much appreciated.
