Applix Recommended Practices website backup?

Post by bihints.com »

Has anyone got a backup of the applix recommend practices website previously at http://www.applix.com/rp/TM1_Recommended_Practices.htm ?
There were quite a few good articles there and it looks like someone at cognos recently had the brilliant idea to nuke the whole site.
I did a quick search on support.cognos.com but I was unable to find any of the articles there.
archive.org does not seem to have kept anything either.
google cache still shows it with a "site:www.applix.com/rp/" search but all the pix and formatting are missing.

I subscribed to their RSS feed, but unfortunately all I have from this particular feed is a preview:
Jason Mullins has authored a new article describing how to document dimension usage in all cubes on your TM1 server.

<hyperlink>View article...<hyperlink>
As you point out the links no longer work - I wish I'd switched on the option to download the article as an HTML attachment!

Anyway, I didn't know if having the article descriptions would be useful to you in hunting them down further - if so I can post those/forward those to you.

Regards,
Mike

In search box type TM1. Cognos now calls them "Proven Practices" and everythign is PDF files so it in no as easy to browse or search.

Eric, thanks for finding the needle in the haystack!

Knowing the best practices site's days were numbered I archived a copy of the site as of about mid-June 2008. If anyone would like a copy of everything in html just send me a pm
Cheers,

Yeah I hate to say it, but there is some decent into on the IBoglix website. The layout is horrible, but content is good if you can find it.

at least it would be if any of the links worked  Every one of them comes up with "page not found"...

I wouldn't mind the HTML copy, how big is that? If it's under 8MB then work email should cope, PM me and i'll give you the address :P

TIA
If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator.
