TM1 Web Probelm

Are there any Tm1 web experts who can please help me with the following.

I have published 2 new Excel spread sheets in applications.

When trying to open them this is what i get:

"Error ocurred while converting the MS excel workbook into XML format: Server Execution failed"

Spread sheets that were already publish are fine and open up straight away.

Can anyone please help ?

Worth checking if the TM1 Excel Service is running. My belief is that that renders the Excel worksheets when you publish (unlike TM1Web 8, which did it on the fly.... very.... slowly.....)

I have seen this error before.

I got this eror as I was using Active Button in my Excel spreasheet. When I try to open the sheet in TM1Web it gave me this error. All those spreadsheets which do not have Active Button can be opened easily in TM1 web.

Solution:

Active Buttons will not work over the TM1Web if the TM1XL.OCX file is not registered within MS Windows.

You can register it using the following command:
RegSvr32 “C:\Program Files (x86)\Cognos\TM1\bin\tm1xl.ocx”
