Date displayed in contributor of TM1 9.5

Hi All,

I have an element named date on which I've applied a customised DATE format (mm/dd/yyyy). It works fine on Architect but when the user tries to enter the date using Contributor it gives an error saying NOT AN VALID NUMBER. Also, when the serial number for the corresponding date is entered in the contributor it displays the date correctly in the format applied.

Does anyone know why is this so ?? And what is the work around for it ??
