Restore a pre-version 9 database backup in TM1 10.2.2

Hi,
A customer of mine asked me to try to restore an old TM1 database backup (pre version 9, but I wasn't able to identify the actual version) in a test server running TM1 10.2.2.
I unzipped the folder and setup the tm1s.cfg to use the local adminhost.
The server starts without errors in the tm1server.log, but accessing by Architect the only cubes I can see are the few ones having just 2 dimensions. }Cubes dimension includes all the cubes in the data folder. Is this a known backward compatibility problem I can somehow solve? Has anybody already seen it?
