PAW, custom workflow and data reservation

Hi folks,
I'm just wondering - is it possible to use PAW books with data reservation mode?
I mean - I have created custom workflow app where we can take the ownership etc. But even I have taken the ownership for a planning unit it seems that the data reservation is not applied in the book and other users are allowed to input the data.
It seems to me that this is the same as in CAFE/PAX where the data reservation mode/ownership is also not applied.
So the only environment where data reservation and ownership is applied is TM1 applications web.
Has anyone the same experience?
