TM1 Perspectives 10.3

Post by CathyBoots »

Hi Everyone,

I've recently installed Planning Analytics Express 2.0.2 on a client server, they are using Perspectives rather than PAX but I keep running into issues with it.
PAX and PAW are not installed on the server.

When creating active reports in Excel using Perspectives on the server, occasionally Perspectives will not produce any results (possibly due to dodgy MDX) but it will also log the user out of Perspectives and then no users can log in via perspectives (including Admin). It gives the error "User does not have permission to browse server".

I've logged it with IBM but they are more than slow at responding and it is holding up progress on my project.

If I create a new instance and point it to the same data and log folders, then it works again until the next time it does the same thing.
If I try to open perspectives before an excel worksheet, I get the error
"Error "Missing Library:
C:\Programme Files (x86)\ibm\cognos\tm1\bin\gsk8ssl.dll
C:\Programme Files (x86)\ibm\cognos\tm1\bin\gsk8km.dll"

If I open an excel worksheet then perspectives, it opens ok.

I have tried the usual:
* delete log files and restart server
* uninstall TM1, delete temp files and reinstall
* checked the versions of TM1a.exe and TM1p.xla are correct
* checked capability assignments

Has anyone got any good ideas please?

Hi,
We've got the same issue. Did you get an answer from IBM?
