TM1 upgrade to Planning Analytics

Post by Mark RMBC »

Hi all,

We are looking to upgrade from 10.1.1 to planning Analytics.

We tend to deploy TM1 to end users via the web using websheets

Does anyone have any experience of upgrading to planning Analytics?

Is it a smooth process or does it mean changing all your websheets etc etc?

Would you recommend upgrading to Planning Analytics at this time? Well actually we are planning it early in the new year.

Anything anyone has to say on the subject would be appreciated!

Cheers, Mark

I don't think it is a problem. Most of your current sheets would be fine.
The most advantage is planning analytics workspace, which is accessible via web browser as well. You should install and use that definitely.
In TM1,the answer is always yes though sometimes with a but....

Hello!

Note that TM1 ver. >= 10.2.0 uses Open XML file formats for Microsoft Excel worksheets. There is utility to convert you websheets, but it could'nt convert 20% of my websheets, so I had to recreate them.

IMHO TM1 10.2.2 if better than PA 2.0 and much better than TM1 10.1.1, so I would suggest to upgrade to 10.2.2

If you do install PAW, you would need to buy licenses on a 1 to 1 ratio for existing users.
Once upgraded, you cannot downgrade: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss? ... SS9RXT-_-E
