Hi, all
We are preparing hardware specs for installing a new PAW server. I wonder how much RAM would it be sufficient based on daily usage? We have around 100 users and will the RAM increase a lot if more and more users are on it through PAX or web? Thanks.

I guess it would help if we knew how much memory your current model runs at?

Re: PAW server hardware requirement
16GB of RAM / 8 cores is recommended. For 100 users that should be fine.
Most of the heavy lifting is done by TM1 so RAM usage is pretty stable.

Re: PAW server hardware requirement
That's a very glib statement. Some rule heavy models with less users can take a crap load more memory than 16GB. I have 16GB in my desktop at home for gaming. In fact 16GB is slowly becoming the desktop standard. This is why I asked for current memory usage which is a better indicator for future memory usage.

I am not talking about TM1 memory usage but Planning Analytics Workspace.

Re: PAW server hardware requirement
Thanks, guys, for the advice.
I have googled around as well and yes, we will go for 32GB and 8 cores for PAW server.
