Not Fed issue

Hello all.

I was suppose to relax and watch football but instead thinking about intersections that are not fed. So I have two cubes, one which is the data cube, second which is analysis cube.

Previously I had used a TI that allowed me to input numeric values against any periods that were between start and end date. That worked smoothly. And I was thinking I may as well just use that mechanism again for a similar analysis but then thought of trying the rule method. Now with that method, when I suppress zeros, I am losing all but 2 of my numeric analysis thats between the two trimmed dates but the number against the start date and end date stay as they are fed. How do I make it so that all the numbers between the dates also stay and are fed? So when I suppress zeros, Il have those numbers.

Thank you in advanced :)

Need more information on the structure of your cubes and, particularly, the period dimension referred to in your message.

PavoGa,

If you refer to my previous post, it would give you an idea of what I did last time and I have replicated the situation, the only thing I am doing this time round is instead of taking the easy way out and doing whats already been a success the TI way, I want to do something different which is do the rule way. With TI's, your able to feed a number in, whereas doing it as rule means I am going to some how feed to ensure when we suppress zeros, it doesnt get rid of the 1's.

Thank you Sir.

Please have a look at the other topic yourself.
There are already feeders in there, by JulianS.

Hey Sir.

I have used his rules and feeders as a start of a ten, but the issue is it feeds the start date and end dates, but not the periods in between. Ultimately, they have the numeric but when I suppress zero, it only keeps the start date and end date.

Thanks

Is your next period attribute populated correctly? Try clicking trace feeders to see if the value is being pushed to the next month and then you should see where it fails.

If you provide your full rules sheet/s it should help people to analyse it for you.

Heyy Declan, the next periods and the previous periods are all fine. I shall post the rules on Monday, in meantime, i will try creating a demo version and see if I can sort this issue. I have tried to trace the feeders and compared them to the start period that is fed to see the difference. Nothing obvious so il see if I can break down the issue on the demo I create. I did have in mind what you had said about the issues that may rise before I took up the rule method.

Thanks alot Sir.
