Planning Analytics for Excel 2.0.1 - Excel sheet protection breaks SUBNM

Protecting a sheet in Excel and then unprotecting a cell in the sheet that has a (vanilla) SUBNM formula appears to break the SUBNM formula - I can pick a new element from the set editor, but the cell drop down doesn't appear and the SUBNM cell is not updated with the new element when it's selected from the set editor. Removing the sheet protection restores the functionality. Anyone else seen this or is it just me?
Excel 2013 32-bit, running PAX 2.0.1. Perspectives using the same TM1 server works as expected.
