You can find a lot of information in the FAQ Links which will help with searching for IBM links to the manuals/ documentation

I'll admit, though that I had neglected to update it with the links to the PA documentation downloads. That's now been rectified (for both PA1.0 and 2.0.)Edward Stuart wrote:You can find a lot of information in the FAQ Links which will help with searching for IBM links to the manuals/ documentation

The 'IBM Cognos TM1' service has been around since at least the early TM1 10s. It's actually the Application Server. It's used for Applications Web and TM1 Web (and Ops Console), but not for 'normal' Perspectives use. It is based on Apache Tomcat.

to David Usherwood
are you sure if this is the Application Server. Because there is three services now and additional to Application Service there is now a new one

Re: Planning Analytics ( TM1 V11 ) new Service ?
Ah...
I do my best to avoid Cognos Configuration because it does hardly anything, very slowly. (Also because IBM have several versions for (eg) BI and Framework Manager and don't bother to distinguish them. )
The two services you see are (as suggested) the Application Server, and the Admin server. The clients branch on the tree relates to 'Provisioned Installs' which is for Cognos Insight - again, a quite unpopular component which we believe will fade away in the future. At present, it is most relevant for doing offline budgeting with Applications Web.
