TM1 web session time out

Hi,

Can anybody help me of what should be changed to increase the session timeout for TM1 web and what would be the steps to change it.

Hi

If you are still on 9.5.1 then you have the older ActiveX TM1 Web. Locate the Web.config file on the server in which TM1 Web is installed. Open it in Notepad. Do a search for 'timeout'. Its the second one that you need to change. It is probably currently set to 20 minutes. Increase this to 480 which will give you 8 hours before a time out occurs, which is fine if you have enough user licenses.

The default location is:
C:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\tm1_64\webapps\tm1web\WEB-INF\web.xml
... one of the lines at the very end.
