Could not logon to any available servers
Hi There,
I was working for quite some time by TM1 application URL "http://localhost:9510/pmpsvc/" and able to log on and create application(s) and then connect to performance modeler and Insight.
Suddenly, It's throwing an error Could not logon to any available servers with the provided credentials. while logging in.
I gave a try by ...
Deleting csk, encryptkeypair, signkeypair folders and restarted the server, but it still gives me the same error.
I have checked fpmsvc_config.xml under C:\Program Files\IBM\cognos\tm1_64\webapps\pmpsvc\WEB-INF\configuration. Both the server names in tm1s.cfg and fpmsvc_config.xml are same.
FYI, I have not changed any credentials.
I request you, if any one have encountered the same issue and got resolved.

Re: Could not logon to any available servers
Sounds like you are running multiple TM1 models? In this case they must share common user name/password (whether native or CAM ) in order to logon to TM1 Applications portal.
Also, has anything recently changed in terms of server name, etc.? If so, have you restarted TM1 applications service?

Re: Could not logon to any available servers
Thanks for your reply.
I have not changed any server name. As it was on my local machine, I have restarted several times.
It was an error suddenly happend and is continuing...
It is common user for many servers (Admin) and I will only start up two servers at one time. And I am able to log on to Architect.

Re: Could not logon to any available servers
Can you just fire up one model and make sure that fpmsvc_config.xml is poiting to that server (restart) and see if it lets you logon?

Re: Could not logon to any available servers
What type of security are you using?
Can you provide a screenshot of fpmsvc_config.xml and apps server config please?

Re: Could not logon to any available servers
Hello
I am having the same issue now and I have tried the same solution but it hasnt worked for me.
For me, everytime I put credentials in, it doesnt work.
Again, the password is the same as its S-S'on. I can open up the models, just cant get to my Contributor models because I just cant pass the AD authenication.
Please, can someone advise
Thanky you
Mithun

Re: Could not logon to any available servers
Hello All
I have now been able to resolve this issue.
The solution is to look at the following files:
- <Cognos TM1 Application Server Install>\webapps\pmpsvc\WEB-INF\configuration\fpmsvc_config.xml
- <Cognos BI Gateway Install Dir>\webcontent\planning.html
- <Cognos BI Gateway Install Dir>\webcontent\tm1\web\tm1web.html
- <Cognos BI App.Tier Install Dir>\templates\ps\portal\variables_TM1.xml
Make amendments if required. Then go to your TM1 app server, look at your cognos, AD connection and if that fails, please correct and that should amend the issue.
Please ensure you restart your app server as well.
Thanks

Re: Could not logon to any available servers
Hi All,
I am now facing this issue with one of my customers.
He is using a Single Sign On for all his applications and he is able to login well.
But he is getting this error when logging into the Contributor.
Please note that the Contributor is not installed on his system and he is directly using the URL.
So, I cannot ask him to modify any .xml or .cfg files.
It was working fine for him till recently (and nothing has changed as per the environment).
There is no issue with the password as well (as he is able to logon to other apps with the same password).
So, what could be the issue here?
Thanks a lot in advance.
