Formatting error in TM1 Application Web

Post by sophie »

Hi,

We use TM1 10.1(64 bit operating system) and the tm1 server is Windows server 2008 R2 enterprise.
Users maintain an excel sheet where the custom format for the value(number) is used as #,##0_ ;-#,##0.
When we try to copy the value from excel to cube in tm1 architect, it works fine. But the same value when the users try to copy from excel to tm1 application web, it throws the below error. If they change the format in excel to standard number format, the value can be copied.

Unexpected number format:9,562
Please use the following decimal and group separators; (#,###.##).

Could you please tell me if the custom format in excel ' #,##0_ ;-#,##0' is supported in tm1 application web?
Is there any workaround to copy the values(with above custom format) from the excel directly into tm1 application web?

Appreciate your help.

Thanks
Sophie

Are you trying to copy the data in to a web sheet or a cube view? I'm guessing a cube view??

Double check what you are pasting - it might not be the format that is expected

i.e. it might be 9562.235689, but masked in Excel to look like 9562

I've had an issue with copying from formatted Excel sheets into TM1Web, and the users had to use a hidden, linked, unformatted sheet as a workaround during development (not sure if that is still the answer as I left the project)

Hi,

I am trying to copy the data from ordinary excel sheet into cube view in TM1 Application Web (earlier known as TM1 contributor).
In excel, if you double click the cell,it will show as '4000'.Since the format is given as below, it appears as '4,000'.
I try to copy this value '4,000' to cube view in tm1 application web which throws the error.
Please let me know if you need any other information.

Thanks
Sophie
