Note I could not get this to work on version 845 of TM1, not sure if it doesn't support the first release of TM1Top or if I am doing something wrong.

Cheers,

I'm unsure but I think that the attached is the version adapted for TM1 9.X's new locking status top fields. I'll take a look and see if I have older versions. I might as well support it.
Ben

*Edit: Here is a newer 9.1X version - Tested with 9.1 SP4
http://www.tm1tutorials.com/downloads/TM1top%209.1X.zip

I'll create other versions when I next upgrade to 9.4 and next downgrade to 9.0

the 9.0 version kind of works on 9.5 but various bits don't (like status colour changes when server is busy). Are there any plans to release a 9.5 compatible version because this is streets ahead of what IBM offer...

Sure, I'll take a look when I next get some time off Keystone.

Hi,

I downloaded this into my client machine and configured for the TM1 server. It opens fine. But it does fail when I verify access even when entering correct credentials. It gives "Couldnot Verify:Authentication Failed" error message.
- Do I have to copy any of these files into server's Applix\bin directory?
- Does version 1.0 of TM1Top works well in 9.0 SP1?

Thanks in advance.
Regards,

In version 9.0, there is no TM1Top, so there is no TM1Top directory. Should I replace these files in Applix\bin folder with the ones coming in TM1top.zip ?

Other way around. Copy those files out of your Applix\bin directory and put them into your TM1Top one to make sure that they're the current ones for your version. You don't need a system-created TM1Top directory; you can extract the files into any folder that you create. In my case I just created a folder that sits alongside the data directories, unpacked the files into there and copied the three files in from Applix/bin.

When I copy these 3 files from applix\bin to the tm1top folder, tm1top works but veryfiy still does not work and I receive the error message below.

I am still having problems with TM1Top in version 9.0. I am able to monitor and but not able to verify and kill procceses or disconnect users.
Is there any other way in TM1 to kill hanging user requests or to disconnect hanging users?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Here is the response frm IBoglix;
Unfortunately, TM1TOP is not compatible with 9.0.1. The first fully compatible release is 9.0.2.

Just an observation but if anyone is trying to use this Tm1Top version beyond 9.1.x you will run into problems because there is no tm1sip.dll created for Tm1 versions 9.4 >.

It works well enough with 9.5.1 with v 8.0000 of tm1api, tm1lib and tm1sip for display only purposes but some of the fields are a little screwed up (eg lock is duplicated, wait time does not display) and although you can verrify it isn't possible to kill a thread.

If @kaikyro is listening, Ben I'd be interested if you might considder supporting 9.4 and 9.5 ...

Using it with version 9.5.2. Seems ok but the wait time is not showing. I managed to kill a hung TI using it. Unless it is really coincidental that the TI ended by itself right after I killed it through Extended TM1Top, it is working.

There were issues with some of the early releases of 9 whereby threads showing ObjectDuplicate could hang the server.

I don't have a copy of the 9.0 manuals, so check your documentation to see if ReceiveProgressResponseTimeoutSecs is available as a tm1s.cfg parameter and if so, set it to a reasonable value, say 20 or 30 seconds.

Once your server gets into the situation where one of these threads occurs, after the 20 or 30 seconds the thread will get disconnected and all other waiting threads will resume.

The client who created the sticking thread will have to crash their session, as the client end of the thread doesn't realise that it has been disconnected and will continue to wait.
