Multiple Select By Regular Expression In Subset Editor

Post by Alan Kirk »

This came up in a recent thread, and I thought that there had already been an enhancement suggestion relating to it. However either there hasn't or I'm going blind, so I put it to you...

Would others find it useful to be able to do multiple searches within the Select By Regular Expression dialog? That is, if you were looking for all accounts starting with 2 or 3, you would be able to enter something like:

Code: Select all

2* OR 3*
rather than the current situation where you'd either have to use MDX, or select all of the 2* elements, copy them, reload the dimension, select all of the 3* elements, paste the 2* ones over the top and finally get your list.

I've added a poll into this one to see whether that works out for future requests; even if you don't want to spend the time to post reasons you can still voice your opinion by voting if you like. (Even if the vote is "don't care".)
