Creating application items

Hello,

Wouldn't it be nice to copy a view name (Ctrl-C, C, C, C) and then go to an application folder, do right-mouse button click and choose "Paste as child" ?
Drag-'n-drop a view from the bottom of the list of cubes, all the way to the top of the Server Explorer and you know what I mean ;-)
Bonus points if we can "Paste as Public child".

Thanks,

Wim

I'm really surprised that this one hasn't been dealt with before. Add in that you could have control objects on view and you fin yourself dragging for what seems an eternity only to accidently let go early and do it all again.

You do both know that there is a simple trick to make this less painful?.
- Turn on the properties pane in server explorer
- select the application folder you want to create a shortcut in, the folder contents will be displayed in the properties pane
- in the left hand navigation pane go to whatever cube or view you want and drag it to the right into the properties pane (where the application folder contents still are)

Copy paste would be better but this is at least 10x faster than dragging a view all the way to the top.

I didn't know that. Thanks Lotsa.
