When you delete a leaf level element from a dimension and it there was some data in a cube for that element, TM1 does not release the memory allocated for the data against this element without retarting server or unloading the cube.
For example, if you have a dimension that you keep adding new elements every day loading data for those elements to your cubes and then deleting those elements after some time and adding new elements...ets, then TM1 cube memory keeps increasing over time and if you do not do a restart of the TM1 server, it will finally crash when it reaches the HW memory limits.

While this may be a defect, is it acknowledged as a bug by IBM? This forum is for letting others know about bugs that have been filed with IBM (because it's difficult to find them in IBM's sysem) not for logging problems. IBM don't monitor this forum.

If it is logged with IBM, what's the reference number?

Martin

we did not raise it to IBM officially yet. but one of IBM guys confirmed this issue orally. I will post IBM's official response here when I have it.
