PMR 67658 999 866 - TM1 9.5.2 Action Buttons

Post by Steve Vincent »

Just logged a fault with the GUI when creating a new action button using TM1 9.5.2 and Excel 2003.

Full details are attached but to summarise;
  • create an action button to run a TI that includes parameters
  • user has multiple servers available from their admin host list
  • select server and TI to run
  • add link to cell in worksheet for value to feed to 1st parameter
  • on clicking OK, GUI will revert back to the 1st server in the list, not the one selected.
  • reselecting the correct server does not reinstate the cell references just picked
The work around is easy - pick the server and TI ONLY, click OK, then right click the new button and go back to properties. The values can then be edited correctly. Its a daft error to have tho and i'm sure will catch others out which is why i have raised it with IBM.

If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator.

IBM have confirmed the defect and is now being managed via APAR PM21446. This APAR will be published to ibm.com after an internal review .
